Tito was best at 154...outside of winky wright, I dont think anybody during that time makes it competitive for him at that weight.
Even knowing what Pac's capable of, it's still tough to pick him against big strong HOF level welterweights with big power like ODLH or Trinidad in their prime. Either one of those guys is at least a full step up from Margo and Cotto. p4p, Pac. At WW, Trinidad. He just hits so goddam hard, I don't see how Pac could absorb shots like that.
Would be a helluva fight! I'd pick Pac by TKO, but if Tito hits him clean with one of those murderous One-Twos who knows? I doubt Pac has ever felt power like that, but he has a great chin after all...
Yesh, I admit that Tito hit very hard, however, he wrapped his hands illegally every time he fought, and his purpose of doing this was to make his fists hit harder than usual. You can ask Hopkins about this because he's the first one who found out this cheat.:yep
Nah dude, no way. Fighters from today hit way harder than they did when Tito was in his prime. Modern nutrition, brah. Did you forget? That's your argument pretty much every time one of these matchups is brought up. Also, since when the hell was Tito a one-two puncher? He was a left-hooker through and through.
Exactly. The difference was night and day when talking about Dlh/Pacquiao and Tito/Dlh. I rooted for Dlh and still think he won to this day. Tito also struggled to make 147 too. These young fans don't remember **** because they weren't watching boxing them. It's like me doing the math of who beat who on the 60's and 70's until someone who was around then gives the particulars that we never knew during that time. Tito couldn't box, and Pacquiao isn't a boxer, but both love to slug it out. Once Tito felt your power and realized you couldn't hurt him, he ran after you. Id give Pacquiao a chance, but I think Tito would be too big for Pac.
Don't compare Cotto, Margarito, or Clottey to Trinidad. Ever! It took 12 one sided rounds for a legendary mw to stop Tito who moved up to mw from ww.
