Mayweather doesn't have the power or strength to keep Trinidad off of him. Tito's jab will cause Mayweather fits and allow him to control the pace of the fight. He'll be backed into the ropes as usual (Where he likes to counter) and be ripped apart by Trinidad's power, timing and combinations.

    Trinidad TKO

Im asking you to point out specific fights because I've seen all his fights and have a decent recollection of most in my memory.

The only fights Floyd would really ever let go even in the lower weight classes was when he was pressed inside. By the likes of Chavez and Corley. Even at these weight classes he'd rather resort to picking fighters off on the inside, and certainly never through the kind of flurries like a Leonard, Calzaghe or De La Hoya. They were 3 punches at a time, but they'd be precise and land every single on of them ala Gatti. You'd rarely see Floyd throw 10 punches in a row and land 2, Floyd never throws just to throw, thats why some underestimate his speed.

:patsch Fine...you're right. The most Mayweather ever threw in his career was a 3 punch combo.

I don't see how Floyd could outpoint Tito throwing 1 or 2 shots at a time on Tito. Trinidad was excellent at throwing 1 or 2 punch shots...He only threw combinations if he had you hurt and if you did get hurt you were not going to survive. How could Floyd outpoint Trinidad when Tito at 5'11 pretty much punched to out point you and throw 1 or 2 shots at a time

trinidad wins by close UD. trinidad has the tools to beat pbf at 147: reach ,power, speed, footwork.

    Trinidad takes this.

Of course many people will say "Floyd outboxes the one dimensional Tito" because Hopkins and Wright could do it, but both were much bigger and stronger than Floyd and they had enough pop to get Tito's respect. Trinidad was relentless, quick, accurate and would be the hardest puncher Floyd has fought.

Floyd at WW is an entirely different fighter, he has relied on potshotting his ways around the bigger, stronger fighters. That won't work against prime Tito.

furhermore, trinidad has proven a lot at 147. pbf has proven nothing as of yet, aside from running his way to victory against baldy and taking on an overweight hatton.

i would go for the proven guy, aside fr the obvious factors of punching technique, accuracy, POWER, NATURAL SIZE, style (loves to press it on and with speed and good chin, trinidad wins.)

I pick Tito on this one.

Forget his losses at 160 onwards. You can all see that Tito has been a slave of his own power at the time.

Tito at 147 was a much more complete boxer-puncher who also relies on strategy. Here are a few evidences:

Against Oba Carr, Tito realized Carr continously moved to right to avoid the power of the left hook. Tito adjusted, used his right hand instead and stopped Carr.

Against Rodney Moore, he noticed Moore took a Tyson like approach. Tito stayed on the outside and counter-punched. Moore was also stopped.

I have difficulty seeing Floyd trying to "box" Tito. Run probably. Even the great Pernell Whitaker(although a shade past his prime, but still elusive) was unable to keep Tito off him. It took him his entire career's worth of experience and a huge heart to survive all 12 rounds. several times in the fight Pea had no choice but to stand his ground. And got beaten much more badly as a result.

Tito wouldn't probably stop PBF. That he'll done enough and probably gets a knockdown or two along the way for a comfortable win. The hunch here is the score will be around 117-109.

I remember once I honestly forgot which Trinidad fight it was...I think it was after the Tito vs Mayorga fight and it was the prefight build up to Tito vs Wright....And Floyd said in an interview that "Trinidad is a legend"....It was a maxboxing video...I swear to god I ain't lying Floyd said "Trinidad is a legend"
Could that have been before Floyd turned into the "darkside"...Before he turned into Money May?!:rofl I have a hard time imagining the Mayweather of today being humble enough to say such a statement!
