That's funny as the vast majority were hugging his nuts saying he looked better than ever against Mitchell.
KT was just as fast as Pac in his prime, or at least so close that you couldn't tell the difference. I think half the people that shoot off in these threads never even saw the fighter they're giving their 'expert' opinions on.
I thought Tszyu was close to beating him on the night they fought, the cards were closing up to the 10th round as I remember it. Hatton landed that disgraceful punch to the balls and it was all downhill from there for Kostya as I remember it. That particular referee always has been a disgrace, it wasn't just that fight. Regardless of the mythical match-ups I think history will be kinder to Tszyu than Hatton.
Old Tszyu = Ring Savvy counter-punching strategist... Young Tszyu = Forward charging Buzz saw. Prime Tszyu falls somewhere in the middle and belts Ricky Hatton back into junior football...
How the hell does he win a TKO in 6 over a prime Tszyu when he needed 11 tough rounds against an older version? :nut
Dont know which fans of him said that but Mitchell was done also when the rematch took place the only thing was that Tszyu was the better SHOT fighter that night not to mention he was GREAT fighting left hand fighters and those fans your talking about were proven wrong when Tszyu fight Hatton...no way in hell Hatton beats a PRIME Tszyu.:deal Just go back and rewatch the leija fight and dont let the Mitchell fight fool you.
 Complete revisionism. Tszyu looked nothing like a shot fighter against Mitchell, & NO ONE was calling him shot before or after. There was only doubts beforehand obviously because of his injuries. Mitchell wasn't seen as shot either. Some ppl were actually picking Mitchell after the endless **** talking he was doing. But don't take my word for it, read some of the archives; http://web.archive.org/web/20041108042740/http://eastsideboxing.com/
tszyu wins in his prime. personally i think hatton is overated and is not the best jrwelter to came from england
KT was nearing 36yo and to say that he was still prime is being ignorant. The fact that KT did so well still is testament to how good he was. Look at Hatton, he got KTFO at 30. That's prime. Hatton would not have lasted against a young hungry Tszyu. He almost didn't last against an old Tszyu even with the help of the biased ref. The blatant shot to the balls obviously affected him. It would have affected anyone. If to don't know that then you're not a guy. Deal with it dude. The majority of the people are favouring KT.
It is amazing how many dumbasses on ESB think many boxers can still be in their prime post 35. It is possible for a boxer who has fought many battles and wars facing better athletes and talented opposition to be post prime as soon as their early thirties (and without exception from 35-40). Good post.
