So now age alone determines a fighter's prime? I suppose Lewis, Holyfield, V Klitschko, Golota, Ruiz, Toney, Nelson, Thompson, Andries, Calzaghe, Hopkins, Tarver, Wright, Mosley, Duran, V Philips, Randall, W Vasquez, JM Marquez, Matlala, Gamez & Penalosa must be all individually unique exceptions.

Seemed like a combo of a few things with Tszyu that night, the ref the main factor, i think it was round 4 or 5 when ricky actually tried to box and Tszyu started using his head like a speed ball and then rick had to cling or he as about to get KTFO, Tszyu didn't alternate his training for the 2AM time like ricky did, he kept just training through normal day time, a few of Tszyus sparring partners including Augustus, sam soliman and Katsidis felt like Tszyu peaked 3 weeks before the fight, Augustus went to England with Tszyu and even said a few weeks after the fight he felt KTs punches had lost power and speed compared to earlier in training, Tszyu trained flat out for 12 weeks for the fight one of his longest camps ever.

I smelt an upset when Tszyu had his final media interview at the airport on the way to England , his voice was gone and sniffling non stp like he wasn't well at all.

Lets see how well your boy does at 36. Oh, he just got KTFO at 30 by a guy who started off his career at minimum weight. Prime for prime Tszyu is better than Hatton. Majority rules dude. Live with it.

So you're going to resort to name calling just because no one is supporting you. Well, if you don't think age could diminish your physical reaction then you're a ****ing idiot. Did you ever go to school to learn simple logic? A puncher like Tszyu should have been ring worn by the time he reaches his early 30s. The majority of the other punchers have. The fact that he still did very well against a cheating Hatton is testament to his skills. Do you think Hatton can still complete at the very best level for another 6 years? Don't think I want to correspond with a dumbass like yourself. You won''t be able to convince the majority with your dumbass logic.

YES. Age is the primary determinant of your prime. You do not equate "success" with prime (nor a slightly higher boxing IQ). If Corrie Sanders had KO'd both Klitschkos instead of only Wlad that would have definitively been the height of his career's success. It would have been a great accomplishment. But that doesn't mean that the 37 and 38 year old version of Corrie "I'm Semi-Retired And Train On Beer And Donuts" Sanders beats a younger version of himself that is in better shape, moves better, is quicker, has better endurance, has trained more diligently, and is more dedicated to the sport. His KO of the Klitschkos would only mean Sanders was better than the Klitschkos (even the far past his prime version of Corrie).

You do not call it your prime merely because of the end result. Doing so serves to denigrate the accomplishment. Perhaps it only demonstrated that the Klitschkos were overrated. The more reasonable conclusion is that an even fitter, younger version (prime version) would have easily or more easily dominated them.

If RJJ had destroyed JC would that have meant Roy was still in his prime? Some (wrongly) considered Joe to be far up the P4P list and a legend. Surely if Roy would have followed up on his knockdown and finished Joe that would indicate that Roy had to be prime to achieve such an unimaginable dominant and convincing destruction - KOing the long undefeated Joe Calzaghe in 1 round. But it would have meant no such thing. It only would have meant that in RJJ's prime he would have very likely easily walked right through Calzaghe - because he was still able to do it as a ring worn fighter far, far from his prime.

I'm in my 40s. I can't dunk a basketball anymore only a tennis ball. I can't bench 295 anymore only 235. When I was young I ran several 4:15 miles. I doubt I would get all that far below 6:00 today. Etc., etc. I'm not in my prime. I'm in the gym a lot but I'm not pushing myself like a young man. I'm in damn decent condition compared to nearly any guy my age. I have certainly improved certain areas of my game compared to my youth. I can occasionally whup some kid's half my age. But, it is the physical excellence that comes with youth that has to be the most important determinant of one's prime.

You can take up professional boxing at 35. Based upon your perspective, that would have to considered prime. Because that was all there was.

Tsyzu versus Hatton - Tsyzu NOT PRIME
Lewis versus Klitschko - Lewis NOT PRIME
Hopkins versus Taylor - Hopkins NOT PRIME
Marciano versus Louis - Louis NOT PRIME
    etc.
    etc.
    etc.

I've got no appropriate background to define a boxer's physical prime and don't suggest there is some "absolute" applicable to everyone. But, anyone who doesn't believe age (measured obviously by the passage of time and/or by the activities (or ring wars in this case) one endures) isn't the primary determinant is just ****ing around with semantics to serve some arbitrary bias.

Good lord :patsch. Some of you twats haven't the brains you were born with.
    Edit: Being in a giving mood I'll entertain you;

No. And even if I was it wouldn't be because no one is supporting me. After pointing out all those fighters who were still in their prime at 35 I don't need anyone to. Clearly you didn't realise when you were starting with the insults.

To even suggest someone doesn't think age could diminish your physical reaction makes you the ****ing idiot.
Puncher? Tszyu was never simply a puncher. Sounds like simple logic is your limit.
Again, wtf has Hatton got to do with this? To give you an answer it's clearly no.
Do you realise how foolish your statements are?
Convince the majortiy of what dumbass logic? Most objective observers will agree with everything I've said in this thread. Are you really this stupid?

Translation = Some pissant with the brains of a gnat got confused reading a simple post & tried to give a few weak counterpoints to his complete misunderstandings.

Try again, I'll just refute every incredibly uninformed dumb statement you can come out with.
