Tommy Morisson's traditional worst rd was d 5th . However , he will have big trouble finishing d 1st on his feet , and then again in each 1 of d following rds . If he does get 2d 5th , and maintains his tradition (but probably even if he doesn't) , Tua knocks him out then . Tua wins by stoppage even if d fight is scheduled 4 8 .
Hmmmm The thing is Tua could end this at any point with 1 punch. Tommy couldn't. Now you could say that Morrison outboxes Tua like he did Foreman but those are two totally different fight for Tommy. One is a past 40, slow, lumbering swinger, the other is a compact, young, explosive hitter. If Morrison was to win he'd have to fight a boring, very cautious, defensive fight - overwise he'd get nailed. However I think Tua would find him. Tommy never had a great defense. KO5 David Tua
It's funny that you bring up round 5, I remember Lennox taking Tommy apart well in that round and of course working the jab on him through the whole fight, I don't see Tommy having the speed to do the outside work but it could of been possible, I do wonder if Tommy's chin was as glass as they claimed it was or were they mostly just clean shots that would drop most..?
^ i agree with the above, this would look just like Mercer/Morrison Tua will get to Morrison sooner or later and when he does, its lights out
Tua is a relativly slow plodder who can´t cut the ring. So, IMO Morrison could outbox him and IMO he would for most of the fight. But Tua was also alwas dangerous and if Morrison can´t discourage Tua like Lewis did - and I con´t think he can - Tua will get to him at some point. I think tua stops Morrison around the 9th while Morrison is ahead 6-2 in rounds or something like that.
Yeah!!!!! :happy :thumbsup Finally a hypothetical H2H with Tua where he actually belongs and could legitimately win. Tua drops an stops him in the 5th.
Morrison had stamina issues. Once he started huffing and puffing, Tua, who at his best was relentless and untiring, would take him out.
Tua walks Morrison down. The Duke gets stopped around the tenth round mark. Good fight till then. Tua basically too strong for Tommy.
Tua would eventually catch Morrison and bomb him out. He had an iron chin and obviously had a huge punch. Morrison had a huge punch and was a very good combination puncher, but his chin would be his downfall. Tua would catch him with a good shot and and finish him off in the same fashion that Mercer did.
