Prime Tua Vs Prime Tyson???

I think it's because he wrecked himself against The President. He was never the same after that. imho Tyson and Tua beat LL in their primes. Gotta give it up to LL though, he had a good head on his shoulders and got everything he could out of what he had, which was quite a lot.

 

In his prime, when Mike got UD's over fighters, the guys were just trying to survive. Except maybe Tucker, but Tucker was a better technical boxer and can't be compared to Tua at all.

Tyson overwhelms Tua with speed and KO's him within 4 rounds.

 

if you wantch it youll see he didnt let his hands go by the middle rds becuase he was getting hit more frequently. he was relegated to following lewis around the ring helplessly. he didnt want to get countered by lewis because he felt his power. tyson on the other hand was more agressive thus gettin hit more and getting stopped. and lewis said he was shocked at the amont of punching tyson was talking

 

Prime Tyson is a 12 round fighter, very hard to hit and damn hard to hurt even if you do land. Tua had one vicious weapon, and it wouldn't be enough. Tua was open to be hit. Tyson's fast, he's just as powerful, he would hit Tua with everything including the kitchen sink and I don't give a **** WHO you are or how good your chin is, if you're from planet Earth and you eat too many shots from prime Tyson your ass is going down.

Also, could someone please point out the HW champion who had 30 plus fights and knocked out EVERYONE he faced? Or maybe someone could just name me the fighter who fought tough competition for 30 plus fights and knocked out every single opponent. Nobody? Well then quit ****ing acting like the fact that Tyson didn't knock out EVERY SINGLE FIGHTER he got in the ring with means his power wasn't all that.

I have no ****ing idea. I'm serious.

I can spout stats out all day and blabber on about what each fighter does well, but this is just a bizarre match-up.

 

just as you said, the guys who went the distance with tyson all fought to survive. they grabbed, held and did all they could to make it the distance. these guys are tillis, green, smith, tucker. the only man who can say he traded with tyson and went the distance was ruddock and he took a viloent beating, ended up with busted ribs and a broken jaw. also, all that chin talk dosnet hold up great, because tyson has fought bigger puncher then tua anyway. and unlike tua, tyson right is just ad devestating as his left

 

Tyson will stand right in front of him but it doesn't mean he'll be easy to hit. Prime Tyson had some of the best defense I've seen a fighter display while at the same time displaying extreme aggression.
On other hand, Tua is not nearly as good defensively, and much slower, but like Tyson, he'll be right there in front him. In my opinion, a bad match-up for Tua.

 

That would be one of the most ferocious fights I can think of. Obviously you gotta choose Tyson but that would be bombfest .

 

No knockouts here. Both guys are skilled enough and durable enough to withstand each other's bombs for the entire 12 round duration.

My prediction: Tyson wins a thrilling 8 rounds to 4, Unanimous Decision. BOMBS AWAY!

 

Prime Tua had more than a left hook. He threw alot of jabs, uppercuts, the whole arsenal. He had head movement, and no one ever puffed him up or bruised him, except for LL. Tua put combinations together as well as Tyson. I'm talking in the Lou Duva years. Lou was calling Tyson out then. Tua has never even been knocked off his feet. And Tyson never faced a harder puncher than Ike and survived.

I see Tyson getting frustrated late, and getting stopped. Bad match up for Tyson.

 

LOL @ at this thread..........Tua was f***ing out boxed by washed up , green or plain bums like no chin Oleg, Izon and the almighty Jeff Wooden, yeah, thats right the hall of famer Jeff F'n Wooden. Tua's only wepaon , the left hook, bailed him out after being outclassed for the majority of the fights.

There is a reason why he never ever picked up a belt, hell, even Johnny Louise, the White Buffalo and ancient Foreman were able to do it , because he is, was and always will be a one dimensional gate keeper who build his whole reputation, like the foul Pole, on losing the big fights.

As far as his chin is concerned, after a couple of right hands form Lemmie he went into a shell and just wanted to go home to his buffet in one of the m ost pathetic heavyweight title fights in history, he was knocked down by Rahman right at the belt and he almost started crying when the featherfisted Byrd hit him in the body.

There are two outcomes for this fight, if Tua comes to fight like against Ike he will be hit on the chin and body like never before and gets ko'ed halfway thru the fight or if he goes into a shell like in the Lewis debacle he will be tko'ed in the latter rounds, Lewis had him but did not trust his chin while Tyson at that stage of the fight would have simply gone for the kill.................

To have a chance against Mike you need a jab ,elavated boxing skills and ring generalship....Tua got none of the above.

 

tua has the better chin,, and thats saying something... tuff to pick a winner though..stly wise i think there bad fights for each other and that might make for a good fight.

The difference here is that unlike those guys Tua isn't going to fight to survive and once Tyson starts to fade in the later rounds he gets knocked out. The only man who can say he traded with Tua and went the distance was Ibeabuchi and he started seeing demons after that fight and he never got hit with the left hook in that fight beacuse his right hand was glued to his chin. Trading with Tua is never a good option.
