Both have mastered the styles that suit them physically. Both are mentally very tough individuals. I think Fury keeps him at the end of the jab all night, and slips and slides and never lets Holyfield get himself set.
Is the prime Fury the one that was almost stopped by Cunningham? If so then my money would be on Holyfield.
Holyfield fought Douglas, Bowe, Lewis, foreman. He has no problem fighting big guys with skill who can punch. Fury has movement that can trouble holy but a prime Holyfield would be on his face all night. Holyfield by UD.
Fury would respect Holyfield as a fighter. He didn't respect cunningham as a fighter. Went to war with him and overpowered him with his size. Fury can outbox any heavyweight if he wants...
You have a much higher opinion of Fury than I do and frankly, I don't understand what your opinion is based on. lol Certainly not his so-called fight with Klitschko I hope.
My opinion is based on a misunderstood man who I myself thought was a fat bum KO waiting to happen. Turns out he is the GOAT. No man at HW can touch him...he could have his own era if he cared to dominate...but he'd rather be at home with his family weighin 300 pounds. The guy is a freak of nature. We will never see another man of his size 6'8" 250lb's who can maintain a decent workrate for 12 rounds and move better than some welterweights.
Cunningham touched him, hard. However, we all have our opinions and I respect yours. I just don't see a lot when I look at Fury and the fact that he was lineal champ of the heavyweight division speaks to how sad the division currently is, imo.
