Both are great fighters. Tyson in his prime never fought anyone as good as Wlad and Wlad has definitely never fought anyone half as good as Tyson.

Tyson in his prime had excellent head movement. He faced opponents with excellent jabs, Bruno, Holmes, Thomas and walked through them, it was only when he faded and began to ignore his defence that fighters began keeping him at a distance with their jabs.

Prime Tyson slips Wlad's jab and unlike Lewis, Ruddock, Tucker and Douglas Wlad lacks the uppercut to keep Tyson away. You can't just run from Tyson you have to have throw something back to keep him away.

suppose it would prob come down to how well wlad could handle body shots from tyson..tho nothing has indicated that wlad dosnt like a body shot or two...i favour prime wlad for this he has way to many atributes in his favour....

Competitive hypothetical matchup between two of the greatest hws of all time. Saying it would be a blowout (either way) is disrespectful and delusional.

 

I'm a Wlad fan but Peter had him shitting his pants. Prime Tyson would have made Wlad stay in Europe for sure.

 

Tyson would be bobing and weaving, slipping wlads jab, throwing lightning combinations, big body shots and uppercuts. If he connects flush it's all over. But after 5 or 6 rounds, if wlad survives the onslaught, which is reasonable with the defensive style he has perfected, then tyson starts to fade and wlad takes over and prob stops tyson late. Really could go either way, but if I had to choose, I'd say tyson gets through before he tires.
