I look @ Wlad and I can't see it I just can't shake sanders *but* I look at Vitali and I honestly can't see prime Tyson ever beating him. Firstly, he would have been Tyson's tallest foe, secondly he would have been akin to Foreman who many feel Tyson avoided plus Vitali can take the most massive punches & finally he is very awkward and hits like a freight train.

    Thoughts?

as much as I like Tyson ... I can't see him intimidating Vitali ... Vitali by mid rounds stoppage.

Tyson on points in a rather dull fight.

Prime Tyson had stamina and tons of fire in his belly.

There is a misconception that Tyson never fought anyone who hit back and the times he has lost where the times when someone actually did.

Tysons last loss where he actually wanted to fight was Holyfiled.

The Lewis fight was garbage, it wasnt a super fight it was a prime fighter against a shadow of a once great fighter who really didnt want to still be fighting. His fire had gone.

Vitali would be awkward for Tyson but would be the busier fighter and i think could win on a points decision, something like 116-112.

Vitali's ko record is very decieving, he isnt a big one punch hitter, he grinds guys down due to volume.

I think this would be a very exciting fight and not just a boxing match but also a race.

    Which would happen first:

The referee stopping the fight because Vitaly was again cut to shreds

    or...

Vitaly outlasting and stopping Tyson in the late rounds because he managed to keep Tyson on the outside, lands enough right hands and keeps the intimidation factor out.

I'd say stylewise, it's the latter.

    Vitali is/was never elite.

And no he didnt he beat Holmes.

And if anyone disregards that victory as bogus then you have to add Tysons loss to Lewis as bogus to. When Tyson lost to Lewis he was in the role of Holmes.

I'm going with Vitali on this one. Were talking about a 25 cm. difference in height here, and Vitali has one of the greatest chins in decades.

I wouldn't count on the height difference since Tyson beat plenty of tall fighters.

very difficult to predict. tyson never fought anyone as big as vitali and he also didn't like it if he couldn't intimidate his opponent. vitali is no walkover for anyone in the hw history.

Tyson would win but on points it would be a hard fight for the new yorker. Because he would face a man who wouldnt give a **** about his past as a streetfighter. And his height and eastern block super man persona might intimidate tyson id say split descion to iron mike.

He'd had 21 months off and Tyson did what he had to do and destroyed him.

Even at 39 Holmes was probably on par with the best that Vitali has ever been.

What makes you believe that Vitali is actually ELITE?? Now he is a very good fighter.....but ELITE???

    Please tell ???

Plus Vitali lost to the only elite fighter he fought......Lewis:good
