An ill-prepared 1990 Tyson was split second away from KOing Douglas. Prime Tyson would land wicked uppercuts and will finsih a hurt Douglas in less than 5 rounds.

Much is being made of Tyson having an admittedly less than usual evening, here.

I believe, just as importantly, Douglas had a once-in-a-lifetime bout where he did just about everything right.

That Douglas would ALWAYS be a handful for Tyson, or anyone else, FTM.

Funny i often lack the imagination to visualize fantasy fights but this times it's different, i can picture it all, like it really happened, anyway in my dream Douglas knocks out a prime Tyson in round 10, silly i know.

 

It was all about the discipline and maintaining focus to be a champion, and Douglas didn't have it. He ate himself into oblivion.

 

Tyson didn't have it either. Otherwise guys on here wouldn't be honestly saying Tyson was post-prime at 23 years of age.

He either had more than Douglas, or just more natural ability, I don't know. Either way, it was a major flaw in Tyson IMO.

 

I would say Tyson UD, Buster down twice.

Buster wins some rounds and makes it a good fight.
