    Tyson via KO.

The Evander that fought Toney had declined severely but was competitive for a few rounds before it became one sided.

Not only would the Evander that fought Lewis have beaten him soundly, but a prime Holyfield would have flogged him.

As for Tyson, as early as Lewis onwards was ready for the taking.

But the one from the late 90s would stop him and pre prison Tyson would make short work of James.

Tyson would catch up with Toney, after six rounds or so. It may well have been interesting in the first few stanzas.

Alright, somebody mentined it in another thread, that Mike was inconsistant with his head movement and perpetual motion in general. Basically they were saying that he'll start the fight out like that, and then the movement would severly decline or cease after a certain piont in the match.

My question is if Toney can last to say, round 6, and then Tyson stops the movement, would Toney have a chance at just straight up outboxing Mike?

I think that we would be asking too much from James Toney by putting in peak Tyson as his opponent. A peak 'Iron Mike' would be a vastly different proposition from the fat and overrated Samuel Peter and even the Holyfield Toney fought. Let us not forget that Toney was a beefed up MW or SMW.

Tyson by tko in round 6 or thereabout.

10 round fight - Tyson gets KO or decision.

12 round fight - Toney has 30% chance of getting decision if he gets to round 6, cos of Tyson's stamina.

    It'd be a replay of Tyson-Tubbs.

Judging by your avatar it doesnt shock me that you think Toney would last the distance.

Thats a joke though. Toney would get KTFO. And please dont bring up Toney's chin. Mike obliterated plenty of tough chinned guys. Guys alot BIGGER than Toney. And his defense wouldnt be so effective in the face of Mike's handspeed and accuarcy. And despite them being the same height, Mike is by far the bigger BONED man(Toney is just fat) and his physical strength edge on Toney would be apparent from the start.

Its an epic mismatch. I wouldnt be shocked if Toney went out like Spinks. The same Mike right hand that KO'd Spinks would do the same to Toney.

In reality though.... it'd be a replay of Tyson vs Tony Tubbs. Peep that fight to see what Mike does to skilled, fat guys.

I never liked Toney as a person but I enoyed watching him fight. With that said, Toney fears no man. Toney would not be scared at all and he probably would talk trash before, during, and after the fight.

What would happen? Their height, reach, and weight is almost the same for this fight. Tyson has much more power but Toney has a very good chin, even as a HW.

I think it would be a somewhat close fight that would go the distance. Tyson wins 115-112... Toney's going down at least once.
