I have not seen Frazier destroy anyone the way Tyson was destroying people from 1985-88 with his defense, body shots and combinations. Frazier got knocked out in much quicker time compared to Tyson so that throws the chin argument out of the equation.
Both guys would collide on the inside. That we know, right ? So, considering this, lets think: -Tyson was a fast starter, Frazier ? Not really. And you gotta consider the difference in size and power that to me, is big in Tysons favor. -Workrate though, its clearly on Fraziers side. But would that be more decisive those advantages that Tyson would had ? Hardly, in my view.
how many times has frazier been ko'd cold? that throws the chin argument out of question. better chin isn't determined by when u get knocked out dumb ass mother****er. it's determined by how many times you've been ko'd. tyson has been ko'd far more than frazier.
Its also determined by how many big punchers you face Frazier faced one and he dropped him 8 times .Do you think Frazier would have weathered Ruddock's bombs,Bruno's left hook, Smith's right ? I say he goes down.Like he did against lesser punchers like Bruce and Bonavena. Tyson is bigger faster has a better chin, hits harder and has real two handed power. He also has a much greater variety of punches. This is a one way beat down from which the game Frazier would never recover.
Stamina? Does Tyson fade over 15, we dont know? It wont be a factor anyway because this doesnt go past the middle rounds' Chin Tyson, defence Tyson, reach again a non factor as both will be coming in.Body attack Tyson! TWO HEAVY FAST GUNS. This fight will be won by speed, two handed power, and with combinations. The marked superiority in all these departments goes to --------- TYSON!!!!!
Stylistically its a nightmare for Frazier,he is facing a bigger, faster ,heavier puncher, who has ko power in both hands and more variety of shots. Frazier doesn't see the 7th round. This fight would ruin him.
only 2 people have beaten frazier. ali and foreman. tyson dosn't have the speed of ali or the power of foreman
I´m thinking Frazier. This has been debated on this forum before, and alot of people tend to believe Tyson would knock out Frazier early because of what Foreman did to him. I beg to differ. Foreman just overwhelmed Frazier and threw him around like a rag-doll. Tyson can punch almost at Foreman level, but is not that strong. Also, he lacks the heart needed to trade with Frazier. Tysons only chance would be to take "Smokin Joe" out early, and I don´t believe he could. He would maybe knock him down a few times and take the first two rounds, but Frazier would get up and keep on coming. Tyson would lose his cool and give up. At this time, Frazier starts "smokin" and from here on out it would be all Frazier. Tyson would be in for a beating. Frazier by late tko. ***********
