Over the same age I put on 20 pounds of muscle, had 5-6% body fat and used no supplements. Hell, I had no discipline with my nutrition whatsoever. I am pretty much exactly Tyson's size. It's not impossible.

I am deeply critical of drug use & cheating, but just as bad as cheating is damning someone for it without having very good reason to believe he is guilty.

Basically a NEW lifter can put on 1/2 a month for 6 months, then 1 per month up to 2 years. Since Tyson was already fairly bulky-& boxing activity could mitigate against maximizing bulk-it could seem suspicious.

Yet he was extremely young, up to your early 20's normally guys fill out anyway.
IF his weight was under 200 when 2 years before, it is possible. Though often there is at leats a bit of fat, water, & if you are eating more to bulk up, food that accounts for some weight.

Most folks underestimate their body fat too.

 

Frazier was 37 ,Tyson was 38 and 39.Cummings not only never ko'd anyone of any note he never beat them.His record is15-6-1 against nobodies.Jumbo was a slow crude roundhouse swinger so musclebound from pressups and curls in prison he gassed after a couple of rounds. Cummings didn't even drop Bruno he momentarily stunned him at the end of the first round with a right hand swing.

Yes. it is all opinion. if anyone in here knows who would win the certainty they're wasting time. They should be in Vegas breaking the bank at the sportsbook. Joe would prevail due to is combination of power and ruggedness. the discussions regarding would either of them did when they were past their prime is irrelevant as is comparing their measurements. is an all-time great. In arriving at my opinion I do not find it necessary to denigrate Tyson. they were both all time greats and true champions.

 

Why not concentrate on what both bring to the ring and decide who has the advantage ?

Wow a years age difference is huge, Frazier was also coming off of a 5 year layoff which trumps that.

Frazier did take flush shots off Cummings because he was hurt a few times by him but survived the storms. Bruno was completely gone and not just stunned, if it wasn't for his corners use of smelling salts he would have been finished in the next round!

I just did to refresh my memory ,no they didn't. Lawless sponged Bruno with water and Black gave him a drink.Tibbs returns the rinsed mouthpiece and the bell rings. Cummings hit Bruno with a right swing that landed on the side of his head, the bell rang just as Cummings threw another right that lands on the back of Bruno's head making it a rabbit punch. End of the round.
