Prime Tyson vs Prime Frazier

Tysons chin was better than Fraziers and Tysons punch power was much better too

 

Mathis was unranked and untested yet Mercante had the fight 5-5 when the stoppage occurred. Mathis was on his feet at the end btw.Tyson would have diced and cubed Bonavena he was in a different class in all departments.And no way does Oscar floor Tyson twice.

Tyson has more power than Frazier ,he also has two fisted power, he hits quicker , has a better chin, more variety of punches, and a better defence .To top it off he's 12 -15lbs heavier.

Therefore why does Frazier win?

No one has satisfactorily explained this yet,all I've heard by way of argument is "Frazier had more heart".

All things being equal the one who wants it more usually wins , but all things are definitely not equal in this matchup, the advantages are all with Tyson.

Frazier was a fine man and Tyson is a ****, but facts are facts,and sentiment won't change them.

 

Frazier aint making it to round 8

he aint beating a guy who hits harder than him, is faster than him and has a better chin than him in a firefight.

 

The only chance for Frazier is in later rounds, but i think Tyson would have stoped him inside 3-4 Rounds.

Tyson is Frazier 2.0. Faster, better Combos, more punching power in left and right hand and also a better defense.

Prime Tyson is a nightmare for Joe. But it would be a great slugfest fight!

Even if Tyson was "overrated, had no heart" etc etc etc, hed still have no problem walking right through Frazier.

Its like comparing Haye vs Chisora

 

And that's bull**** that Tyson had no heart. People need to watch 8th rd vs Douglas, when Mike was battered badly and knocked down Douglas at the end of the rd. Tyson didn't duck any challengers, and even when he was completely shot, he bravely took the beating from Lennox Lewis.

As for fight, Frazier's money punch was left hook. Tyson isn't easy to hit, especially with left hook, can take a punch and has very good defence. The only time Mike was decked by left hook was against Holyfield, who also dropped Bowe with the same punch. I can't remember when PRIME Tyson was caught by left hook.

Frazier was great boxer, but his style isn't good against prime Tyson. He does better against boxers like Ali or Larry Holmes.

 

To be fair, Tyson was off balance and that was a body shot as well. Holyfield also droped Mercer with that hook too.

Whats that saying, dont hook with a hooker? Frazier has a very good left hook, so does Tyson. Problem is...Tyson has a great left uppercut, right uppercut...overhand right and a whole load of other sh** Frazier has never seen.

Tyson damaged his knee or leg against Williams in a fight he was winning....why would he quit?

What was Frazier doing at the age of 37?

And how would Tysons 'lack of heart' help Frazier when Tysons pummeling the sh*t out of him?

 

He didn't quit vs Holy. He was hurt and referee stopped the fight.

Vs Lewis and Williams I see your point. However, it's compleltely shot Tyson. He didn't get up at 10 because he had **** stamina (actually 1- round fighter, by 3rd rd he was spent vs Lewis and Williams).

 

Tyson has said time and time again...he bit Holyfield out of frustration, Holyfield admittedly himself bit someone in the amateurs

 

As for 2nd fight I forgot about it:roll: Tyson just lost his mind I think. Yes it was disgraceful, but I don't think he did it on purpose as if he wanted to quit as soon as possible.
