    Agreed.

To be honest even as a huge fan of both I find it hard to pinpoint Lewis's prime where as Tyson's is easy.

I could see the Lewis of the Mercer and Briggs fights getting in trouble. Against Mannys instructions he was mixing it up, going toe to toe, that approach could get in big trouble with Tyson. The Lewis of Tua, Rahman II and Holyfield I'm far more confident of handling Tyson, distance, movement, using the pawing jab to set up huge straight rights and uppercuts.

Would have been a great fight.:good

This is truly probably the hardest question that cant be asked in boxing and the poll proves this

Tyson beat Lewis, if both are in their primes.

tyson lost to Lewis cause he was out-of-shape.

Where's Rahman at in that list? Oh wait...His chin didn't hold up against him the first time around.
I'm not saying Tyson wins this definitely by KO, but it proves Lewis can be KOed COLD! Lewis does have a great chin though, but it could be cracked obviously.

tyson once said that he knocked lewis straight out the ring when he was 17 and they spared. lewis apparently was bruised an bloodied after the first but had better look in the following rounds controlling him with his jab. tyson never admitted it though but that came from lewis trainer at the time. so it's as even as this poll, i voted tyson because i couldn't doubt a young iron mike.

If half the posts are going to be critical of Lewis' chin it should be noted that Tyson was knocked down and in fact TKO'd more than Lewis was during their respective careers, and Lewis wasn't 24 when it happened.

Agreed. Though thats not get it twisted. Im a huge Tyson fan, and never got into Lewis until he retired back in 03. Though over the years I watched pretty much all of lewis' fights from 94 up, and must admit the guy does have a good chin. Did he get layed out with one punch twice in his career, yes. Though if you see the punches, they both were right on the chin with full force. Against McCall, Steward was in Oliver's corner and if you listen real close, Emanuel tells McCall to to throw the right over the top, Lewis doesn't bring his gloves back to his chin quick enough after he throws a punch. Against Rahman he was just carelessness again, he acted very lazy that night and did not keep his hands up and allowed a hungry Rahman land that big right hand again.

Tyson/Lewis would be a great fight. I favor Tyson to get the knockout before 6th round, but if Lewis' can weather the storm behind the jab and get Tyson into deep waters. I could possibly see Lewis getting the late TKO.
