    Liston best wins.The glass-chinned,weak,fragile Patterson.
Marty Marshall a bum beat him .(Liston suffered a broken jaw)
What tough man.Marshall was only 180.5 pounds.
Marty Marshall total carrier record:w22(ko10)-lost13(ko5)-drawn 2
Marshall beat amazing fighters like Wes Bascom (wsd)
Liston couldn't knock so amazing fighters out like the 184 pounds B.Thomas (wsd6)
And the best thing The 206 pounds Ali destroyed him in the first round.
    1. A 180.5 pounds fighter never beat Tyson.
    2. A 206 pounds fighter never beat Tyson.
    3.Nobody could break Tyson's bones.
And the list/argument can go on and on....

C?mon VVMM, you are not even ATTEMPTING to be intellectually honest.

You might actually have a point w/Marshall, but you undermine it w/cherry-picking a guy Marshall beat. ALL fighters beat some "bums".

Ali being 206 is really irrelevant., it was plenty. Late in his career Tyson lost disgracefully to a few fighters, Liston just Ali. And that fight seems fixed.

Would using Tyson's ear-biting off & terrible losses be fair in deciding who wins a prime matchup?

Tyson may be small for the modern HW division but against guys from Liston's era where size wasn't really a factor and it came down to speed and aggression, Tyson would have basically left these guys in a smoking crater. He would expose them.

i like tyson in his absolute peak here, liston beats the predictable 90s( looking for a good single punch). tyson was heavier than liston, faster, more explosive, he did hit how hard if not harder(i would say that harder), tyson got the better arsenal, he was the better accurate puncher, he got the best chin of the 2, tyson had the deffence to avoid the jab of liston, you are not talking about the little 188 pounder fragile patterson here.. you are talking about a much bigger, stronger, more powerfull, tougher, better version of floyd, something like a cat and a tiger...a dog can kill a cat... but a tiger is a different thing...and liston is not foreman.. different styles... he was not as tall, he did not have his strength, he di dnot hit as hard, he did not push back his rivals, he di dnot have the chin of foreman, or his heart, or his heavy uppers...

tyson took power shots from guys with similar power to liston´s , liston never took power similar to tyson´s

Small.How.A bad Tyson destroyed the 247 pounds tall Bruno easily.
    W. Klitschko couldn't knock a skinny glass-chinned Haye out.
Some top fighter are not big or tall nowadays(Adamek,Takam,Chagaev,Chisora,
    Jennings are shorter than 6'3".
Fury is fat he proved Nothing.
    Featherfisted Pulev.
Bruno,Golota, prime Ruddock size and skill and power combination was much more
dangerous for Tyson.A bad Tyson outclassed them.
The not tall, fat Peter has big chance again w.klitschko.
Tyson and this small thing problem is just a myth by his haters.
Tyson beat more tall fighters than Vitali Klitschko,Lewis and Holyfield.

I think you're full of excuses.Liston hadsn't real impressive win otherwise.(Patterson? Muhaha!!) .I think Liston was an overrated mediocre fightler like Frazier.
I think some journalists fool you.
Of course i think you have another opinion.

Interesting fight. Both men had great KO power but lacked heart by quitting on the stool. Liston had more stamina and was bigger so I'll take Liston over "Iron" Mike.

Tyson quality muscle mass was one of the biggest in the boxing history. For a 5'10" a ripped 215-223 pounds is more than remarkable.I think W.Klitschko hasn'"t bigger muscle mass
His bigger weight is based on his height.Maybe you know the skin, bones and other
    organs have weight also.
If a David Haye or Chagaev can be good nowadays...
Pianeta-a todays' top fighter couldn't knock an old Botha out"
A very bad Tyson destroyed a prime Botha with one punch ko .
The current heavyweight division is very overrated by skill,by size, by athletic ability.
Say a similar pathetic looking fighter like Leapai from Tyson's title fights !
