Just watched the Trevor Berbeck interview after he lost to Tyson. He was asked "is Mike the hardest puncher you've ever faced?"

Berbeck replied "No, he hits from funny angles"

So I agree with everyone who says Tyson's power comes from speed and combos rather than purely raw power

 

I was initially convinced that prime Tyson would KO prime Tua. However, some of you have made a good case for the sturdiness of Tua's chin - so my vote is swayed to Tyson by UD. Tua did go the distance with two devastating punchers in Ibeabuchi and Lewis. I still think that Tyson exhibited the superior head movement as well as the better combinations which would earn him a decision over the sturdy Tua.

 

Its prime to prime and Mike is the strongest, more accurate and moreskilled fighter. Tua wouldn't know what street he was in after 5 rounds anhd is probably stopped in 7-8.

 

You people are silly to thik Tyson would stop Tua Tua went 12 rounds with Lennox Lewis who KO'D Tyson:verysad Lewis played with Tyson and beat the hell out of him...
Tyson would probaly get frustrated by not being able to KO Tua in 1 or 2 rounds and start doing his usual dirty ****, biting, hitting in the nuts, etc, and would lose by DQ or quit, If Tyson wanted to turn it into a street fight Tua would beat his ass into the ground...

 

Were talking about a prime Tyson you ***, he never quit a fight once in his prime, not when Buster was beating the **** out of him, noy even in 96 when Holyfield was catching him with open shot after shot, the ref had step in to stop it, he refused to go down.

I imagine the Tyson that fought Ruddock would be able to handle Tua. The fight would be filled with fireworks, consisting of a lot of toe-to-toe action with both men landing bombs. 91-92 Tyson by TKO. 86-89 Tyson by lopsided UD. 97-00 is 50/50 , 00-beyond, TUA WINS

That's because Tua tasted some power early on, and then played it safe for the rest of the fight. After about the fourth rd, Tua was just content on losing a decision. Tyson came straight forward all night long and went out on his shield. Not to forget TUA was in his PRIME against Lewis, where Tyson was a decade out of his. BIG DIFFERENCE. Compare their opposition, Tua is not even on Tysons level. -but hey, at least Tua beat a prime Johnny Ruiz.....that has to count for something.

 

It's no brainer that a prime Mike Tyson's aggresiveness will most likely hurt and knockdown Tua first before Tua can do anything.
