Tyson by late TKO. Tysons body punching and Vitalis tendency to exchange punches would be deciding factors..
Tyson quit against Mcbride was to scared to get up and fight so don't tell about Vitaly quiting against Byrd. Vitaly would beat the living daylight out of any version of Tyson.
I loved tyson, but do laugh when people allow that as an excuse for him that horrid night, BUT take the **** when vit retires due to a near career ending injury thus saving the rest of his career, sorry but that aint no excuse and if vits aint allowed one neither is tyson
Vitali's FAR too slow for a peak Tyson with the upper body movement, great defense and body punching. His chin may also be solid, but Lewis was hurting him badly and I'm pretty sure Tyson had more concussive power and really cant see the vastly over rated Vitali touching him enough to do damage before being stopped himself
Theres a bit more to it than that though. Smith and Tucker were never in any trouble at all. Yeah they fought negatively for the most part but Vitali is both bigger and more skilled than either of those guys. And I seem to remember when tucker did actually let his hands go he had Tyson in quite a bit of bother. If Vitali fights defensively he aint getting stopped. Tyson couldnt stop lesser skilled smaller guys with worse chins. Vitali does tire you are right, which is why I think it would be close either way as Tyson would also certainly be feeling the effects of a guy the size of Vitali leaning on him for 12 rounds by the end. I doubt there would be more than a couple of rounds in it either way. I rate prime Tyson very highly H2H but I think a few guys - particularly prime Lewis and Holyfield and maybe Vitali from recent years have the physical and mental strength coupled with the skill and physical attributes to beat him.
Vitali wins by late KO. Tyson fans quickly declare "Iron Mike" is past his prime and that no one could ever beat a Prime Tyson with his head movement and wild looping hooks.
