I like the way posters are throwing out "Tyson KO's Vitali" when Tyson has been KO'd by Douglas, Holyfield, Danny Williams & Kevin McBride. Yes, I repeat, Kevin McBride. Vitali has never been officially knocked down in a professional boxing match-period. Yet, somehow Tyson's going to blow him away within a few rounds :rofl
Mate when tyson got Ko'd by Williams and Mcbride how was he in his prime? prime for prime tyson smashes vitali
agree tyson was in his prime never really thought about douglas and vitali but still i will stick with tyson smashing vitali G
It's all good, everyone's entitled to their opinion. My is that Tyson lands some significant punches early but then Vitali wears him down, bloodies him up & takes him out late. Just like Buster & Lennox did :deal
Tyson struggled against taller fighters - it's my strong belief that Tony Tucker would have beaten Tyson if it wasn't for his injury in the 4th round. Tyson was also awful in a clinch, that much is clear. People talk like Tyson was an unstoppable machine in his prime, he wasn't. He had weaknesses too. Big ones. And to be blunt, Lewis beats any version of Tyson at least 8 times out of 10. Holyfield too. But Vitali isn't good enough inside, nor does he clinch and use his leverage/weight enough. Tyson wouldn't stop Vitali due to Vitali's punch resistance and the fact that Tyson would struggle to get his best shots off, this much I'm certain of. Tyson wins via a close points verdict in a surprisingly boring fight.
It's really hard to picture either Klitschko losing a fight on points...............I mean how many rounds have they lost combined since they won their belts?
Not many, then again the amount of genuinely top quality opponents both fighters have face has been minimal. Forget the stoppage which is ludicrously used against Vitali in the fight, but he did lose a few rounds to Byrd when they fought. Granted, Tyson's different in almost every way, but I'm just saying that Vitali is capable of losing rounds. IMO Tyson will just close in too quickly, landing one glancing shot at a time before it gets scrappy and the referee has to seperate the fighters, and it will be enough to win Tyson rounds in a low quality, low workrate fight.
Just makes me sad to see all the people picking a robot like Vitali over PRIME MIKE TYSON. Tyson would destroy Vitali instead of 5 rounds
