If Tyson shows up in good condition, I don't think any of these guys pose much of a threat. Force me to pick and I'll go with M Spinks, but that wouldn't happen.

I don't believe Tyson would have a major problem with any of them! If you are going to beat Tyson in his prime you are likely to need another top 10 (perhaps 20) atg to do it while having a special night. Like most atg's, he is an atg for a reason....he was the best of his short era. The cream always seems to have a way of rising to the top, so as far as 86-88 Tyson goes, it will take a special fighter having a special night to beat him.

Berbick he could maul Mike and make it ugly and my guess is it goes for a bit and Mike may even have to settle for a Decision here, but a Tyson win for sure..
Smith might decide to bang if so he gets knocked out inside of 5.
Cooney would have no answer for Mike's speed or Power, Tyson KO7.
Norton would get waxed early like he always did when he faced punchers..
Shavers would have a punchers chance but Mike is so much faster I see Shavers actually being closed out in the 1st round..
    Leon Spinks please Tyson KO2
Michael Spinks he may drag it out a bit and make it ugly but he still has no answer when Tyson connects..
    Evangelista Tyson in the 1st
Cobb the rough and tough guy would last a while but take a fearful beating..
Snipes very awkward and may give Mike a decent tussle ala Bruno (the 1st Bruno fight) but Tyson still wins in 5-6 rounds by KO
Spoon This is the only guy on the list who I give a shot to beat Mike, do I think he would NO but I really hate that he and Mike never fought.. Spoon "Good" Spoon had a great Jaw, stamina and was pretty polished VERY polished compared to everyone else on this list. He pushed Holmes to the brink in there fight, his biggest enemy was desire... I see Tyson winning but would love to see Tim land some of those over hand rights on Mike so I could see what would happen!! More then likely Tyson takes them and fires back and ends up winning on a late TKO or Decision..
Ocasio No chance Mike destroys him!!

    FYAY360,

yeah, Witherspoon might be a good one to go with, in the sense (also) that Mike might be getting a bit distracted at that point.

7 years and 21 straight title fight wins is a big ask, whatever the opposition.

Tyson would kayo Berbick, Cooney, Norton, Shavers, Spinks, Evangelista, and Ocasio within five rounds.Smith, Cobb, and Spoon would last the distance, and Snipes would last until the 13th.

I wouldn't pick any of Holmes' challengers to beat Tyson.. There are maybe 2 or 3 of them who may take him the distance, or even give some trouble, but in the end I think he beats them all, and mostly in devastating fashion.

A peak Cooney - not the one who fought Foreman or Spinks, would do better against Tyson than most think, but he'd still lose.

Tyson could fight them all at 2 monthly intervals and prevail at his best. Nobody there troubles him overly including Spoon.

If he fought them over the long period of time Holmes did he would not be able to maintain his form tho, obviously. Tyson burned super bright for a relatively short period while Holmes burned bright for a long long time.

I think the same thing which happened to Tyson in 1990 would happen to him in this reign. His style relied on being fast and sharp, and when his motivation and dedication started to go, so did his defense. And being smaller that made a huge difference. And I do think a guy like Witherspoon would beat Tyson even when he was young, if Tim were in shape. The Witherspoon which Larry fought was not experience, but the later Tim would be very hard for Mike to beat. Smith was not much different when he fought Tyson. Shavers might be a problem.. I do know this. Mike would not be undefeated with the same guys. He would have one or two losses. Larry was all around a great fighter who slipped a little in skills, but he could still be effective. Mike was more dominant in his primeand a great fighter also, but Larry had the style that he could do everything in a way Tyson could not. No knock on Mike, but Larry would not have lost to Buster Douglas. None of the guys Tyson beat in his reign would beat Larry. And I am a big Tyson fanwho thinks he is one of the top 5 heavyweights ever since his prime was so dominant and destructive. Larry might not beat them as quickly or dominantly, but he would win like Mike did.

I think Earnie would be easier than quite a few others. I could see Tyson getting him out of there inside 2 rounds as much as i like Earnie.
