He looked awfully afraid to get hit in the last twenty five seconds of the 1st round against Corrie Sanders. Flailing, running, stumbling, holding, falling, flinching, panicking ... no huge diff .. that was a damn fine Wlad "imitation" ... runs deep through both of them .. it comes from not having the highest level of athleticism that allows you to move your head, upper body, and feet to avoid punches and continue to deliver your own. Both guys need to "escape" and find distance to regroup and gain time to reset. If you always fight guys that can't touch you .. you seem invincible. Allows for the fan boys to imagine greatness where it obviously doesn't reside. Against a higher caliber of athlete and fighter and you'll find it doesn't take too many such match ups to put more than a few cracks in their chins. Neither guy is all that familiar with being on the defense rather than the offense. In this incredibly shitty era they have always had bums, "C" level athletes, and out of shape mediocrity in front of them. As such, they haven't had to rise to the occasion in a grueling fight using ability, in-fighting, tactics, will or grit, etc., when a size or conditioning advantage didn't exist or wasn't available to them. In the few instances where some one has had the ability to take the fight to them they both either lost and/or showed instances of great panic. Panicking when someone is pressing you shows all you need to know about their relative athletic level. Extremely good comparative size (99% of the time they are the larger, taller man in the ring), decent conditioning, but no where close to being the greatest fighters ... simply a horrible era with inept talentless opposition .. allowing for "looking good by comparison" .... it is the peak or absolute apex of the "war years" .. when the able talented men were off competing and fighting in the other major sports. Leaving professional boxing to the gimps, no talents, and pedestrian athletes.
Little Conner, Raving day after day on an internet board in defense of your dad's decent but hardly extraordinary abilities is sad and pathetic - let it go - he's retired and a burgeoning coke head for the time being. At your age you should be trying to learn and accomplish something. Maybe you can aspire to half of what I've already done - then you won't be quite the little dweeb and continue to get picked on by the neighborhood kids. Aim higher son .. you don't and won't get anywhere starting your life posting everyday on boxing threads. If you think you might enjoy something go DO IT don't waste time watching others perform. It is superior to be the athlete, musician, businessman, professional, etc., etc., rather than merely the spectator or voyeur in the shadows. Being the angry young nerd who has not developed any athletic ability but posts passionately (arguing fanatically) about boxers or boxing - as if you know something or have a basis for understanding - is only defensible if you're mentally deficient or similarly handicapped (or old without other prospects and/or requirements). I imagine home life might be rather depressing with your dad sniffling and exhibiting wide mood swings but you must carry on. He will find his way back inevitably. For you it should be education, education, education. Even in this competitive and generally inequitable world, a better life can still be obtained with some luck and perseverance. Do something ... it can't be enough to be a veteran "ESB poster" - the average income, education level, and career accomplishment is far from laudable in the great majority of these anonymous individuals you seek to impress, gain approval or validation, and apparently consider an important audience. Wake up. ESB is best left to those that have already made their way or given up at the other extreme. You don't see any meaningful number of athletes posting ... they are too busy pursuing their sport and wouldn't spend their minimal free time chatting with neophytes to no benefit. You are obviously young and unaccomplished - only one of those is ever within your control to alter.
Wlad would not step in the Ring with Prime Tyson he would Run to Vitali and say please brother i am very scared you must fight tyson please please ^^
When Golota fought Tyson his style was altered by the car accident he was involved in just after he fought Grant. In other words he lost his jab. My point was that if a prime Tyson caught Wlad with that same punch it'd be good night. IF is the magic word. Nevertheless, I'd bet on prime Wlad to beat Tyson.
Okay, that's probably true. Wladimir Klitschko's chin is probably not the best, but it must nonetheless hit and take hard hits before that. Wladimir has recently been almost impossible to hit cleanly shot and taking into account how much taller and more mobile he is compared to the man like Golota. The opponent is definitely much harder job to do than against Golota
Tyson. Vlad is too chinny and i doubt he would be able to keep tyson (a prime 20 year old tyson) away.
Ive already made my way also thanks, and ESB is a past time. But rather than talk of others misfortunes, which I didnt bring up to you, I was asking you to mention your 3 careers and tell me about how you semi retired in your 30s. It might help me get to sleep :rofl
We will never know. I do know that Tyson says the Klitschko's are the best Heavyweights on the planet right now.
Wlad is not (and never was) more mobile than 96 Golota. He is hard to hit flush lately but then again he's fighting below A level guys.
The Fact that Wlad has been down 11 times and struggled with aggresive fighters, I don't see him getting by Tyson, as he lacks the the inside ability, mobility, and poise to get it done.
