Tszyu is underrated. There isn't a single Tszyu thread on ESB where someone doesn't say "Tszyu is overrated".
Pernell is without a doubt the most overrated fighter on ESB. It's not even close. He is the patron god of ESB.

 

It's something we'll NEVER know, we can opine, but that's as far as we can go. It's just a matter of who is the FAN of WHO that you can garner and that's pretty much it. Let's get back to the real time. :hat

 

You are misunderstanding that comment. Listen to the question and his entire answer. He actually meant that he wont fight HATTON in Manchester as he thought Tszyu got an unfair shake (low blows and such) from the official because of the HUGE home field advatange for Hatton.


For Pac vs Tszyu. Tough call because this is the kind of fight that one punch can KD either guy.

 

HE's absolutely right, Talent is about natural ability and that's Pac's biggest asset. You could argue Tyszu had more skill but he was not as naturally talented as pac.

IT wouldn't shock me if Tyszu won but If I had to bet on one fighter it would be Pac.

 

Tszyu in his prime was ****ing nasty.


The most interesting fight for a prime tszyu to me is and will always be against Floyd Mayweather @ 140.

 

I think that is the wrong way to look at it, Hatton, DLH and Cotto all thought they were too big and strong for Pac, its not size and strength but strategy that is important with Pac.

You are implying that 35 year old JMM is better than Prime Tyszu?:huh Tyszu is a far better counter puncher especially at these weights compared to today's JMM.

This is where I think it gets tricky, I havent watched enough younger Tyszu to make a good prediction but I see 2 outcomes.

First there is no doubt in my mind that Pac coming up at 135 to 140, the Pac that JMM fought would be outboxed and counter punched by Tyszu.

But lately 140+ Pac has shown much better footwork, head movement and use of effective pressure not to mention he filled out at the weight very well and has displayed a good chin against Cotto. So today's Pac would stop an older Tyszu that I am used to seeing since his comeback.

I think its a matter of how well prime Tyszu could deal with his pressure and counter punch him. One thing is I expect him to have some chances to get that right in with full leverage as Manny comes in and out and wont be inside smothering him all the time like Hatton or the way Manny gave Cotto some chances to land but they were inside without full leverage. If Pac tries to box with him from the outside he will loose but he may be able to win with pressure.

 

I think Pac peppers Tszyu with 3 to 4 punch combination and gets out of there before Tszyu would even realise to load up a punch.

I agree that KT at 140 is by FAAAAAAAR better than JMM at 140....****..JMM isn't suppose to be fighting above 135. BUT....KT isn't a better counter puncher than a Prime JMM. KT isn't close to the kind of boxer JMM is and he's NOT more accurate in a head to head comparison..
