This would be very nasty for the Hitman who was almost seeing sixes and sevens when he fought Collazo. Ricky was shown to be only decent as a Welterweight, and Basillo was one of the toughest to have ever campaigned at that weight. Not a knockout artist by any means, but I think he brings to much heat for Ricky, who's most effective at 140lbs.

I don' think he would need 8. Basilio was practically better in everything than Hatton and bigger. Hatton always struggled at ww. Can't see this beeing very competative.

Basilio by gruesome slaughter. Hatton is beaten in all departments by the decidedly stronger and tougher fighter with a much more powerful engine and more skill both inside and out. Basilio would catch Hatton blundering in with heavy shots from the opening bell, and the Hitman would probably be wheeled home to the Fish 'n' Chip shop after a few bloody rounds.

Basilio would beat Hatton at his own game, and then some ,he was an irresistable force ,with an indomitable will.I think he has the record for being in the most " fights of the year".
It would make a pleasant change for Carmen to be the naturally bigger man.

Great chin ,good puncher ,wth an unquenchable desire,a tear up while it lasts ,but only one winner .The Onion Farmer.ko inside 6 rds.

I think it would be pretty entertaining though because Hatton will there 2 be hit and Basilio isn't a puncher

Basilio by points or late stoppage by cuts or accumilation of shots

A huge puncher he may not have been, but he had enough power to get the respect of full-blown Middleweights. It doesn't matter anyway since Hatton is so lopsidedly over-matched in every conceivable way that Basilio would just land whatever he wanted. No way Hatton sees the final bell.

Basilio was a decent puncher as Demarco, and Gavilan ,would attest.

I never said he was'nt a hurtful puncher but thats very different to being a Knockout puncher, just because your not a Knockout puncher does'nt mean his punches don't hurt.

anyway its does'nt really matter because I agree with you mostly about him winning very clear but I think its a more tougher fight than many think and don't see it ending until at least around the 8th and when it doe I see it being because of cuts or a accumulations of shots and I think it going to the cards is a big possibility,

I wouldn't take Hatton at 154 over Basilio at 147.

    Basilio - Tko 9

Basilio was one of only two men to floor Gavilan.

This would be a mismatch,Basilio by early KO.
