Ken Buchanan was soft to just run into Duran when he could have won 'easily'

How can an undisputed lightweight champion who dominated his division for 6 years be overated?

How can a 29 yr old former Lightweight champion who in june 1980 become only 2nd lightweight in history/50 years to win the WW title from the accepted P4P champ of the day in SRL, be overated?

How can a 32 yr old blown up lightweight challange for the undisputed midleweight title & become the 1st man to last the full 15 rounds with the accepted P4P beast of the day in Hagler to narrowly lose on points, be overated?

How can a 33 yr old blown up lightweight who got KO'd in 2 rounds at Lt/Middle then succed in winning the Middleweight title at 37 yr's age defeating the man who KO'd the man that Ko'd him, be overated?

How many other undisputed champions who held genuine title's at 4 weight's & fought anyone & everyone for 5 decades, do you overate?

Despite what anybody might say Trinidad would be a very tough fight for Duran at 147.

not a great lightweight division. You cannot say that division was great but decent. Buchanan and Dejesus were not Hagler and Hearns. Lampkin was not in Duran's class.
Duran beat Ray when Ray was not prime yet. And Ray fought his fight and still Duran couldn't win strong, he won a close decision. Then Ray outclasses him in the rematch and stops him. I call it a stoppage since Duran quit so he would not be stopped Ray was starting to land some hard punches to the head and body. Then to answer people who say Duran was out of shape, well just a year later Duran fought another great Wilfred Benitez and was outclassed with speed in a weight at or near what he fought tuneups since 1978, before Hearns or Benitez or Leonard ever fought at that weight. The Barkley win is not a great win. Barkley was not a great fighter. Kalambay,Nunn,Toney,Benn and even Sims a few years before all beat Barkley. He lost to all the legends of the 1980's. I keep going over this and saying the same points, but he is overrated a little. He is great, but the things people use to say he is so great are overrated. He fought everyone for 5 decades? No he didn't. He fought guys like Pazienza and Camacho at 160 168 in the 1990's, but not Jones or Toney. Pazienza was easily beaten by Jones and others. Camacho was outclassed by Tito and Chavez. Duran fought everyone for 3 decades I will say that, but 5? See that is exagerrations which lead to overrating. He won the title at 4 weights, but Duran never had a successful defense of any of his titles over 135.

I did pick Duran to beat Tito since Tito didn't have the style of moving and speed to beat Duran. Had Duran beaten Tito he would have been given double the credit Hopkins got. Not because it is fair, but because that is what Duran fans do a little. They overrated him a little for wins which are good ,but not brilliant as some have said in other thread. He is a great, but not ATG 5-10.

Duran wins at 147, loses at 154, both by decision.

I think Duran would win, but a schooling I don't think so. The thing is Duran would take the left hook and punches and land his punches and win the fight when Tito gets tired down the stretch, but he would know after that he was in a tough fight and took some great left hooks.

Thank you, Duran wouldn't come out of this fight feeling like it was just a sparring session, he would know he was in a fight.

Both at their best, at 154. Duran.

At 147, Duran, and he doesn't need to be at his very best.

duran is highly favored and for good reson. he is overall the superior fighter in terms of skills but some people think it would be a breeze for duran. trinidad was a brutal puncher, if he tags duran with a prefect punch, it could get ugly for duran. but duran can outbox you as well as outpunch you. duran by ud.
