Williams would beat the tar out of Vargas, and so would AM.

If that is the case, then no other great fighter can stop Vargas before Tito did. Williams is a tall southpaw with power. I think he can stop Vargas. this is a styles fight. It is possible for Williams to stop Vargas. Hearns stopped Duran, something Leonard and Hagler never came close to doing.

Vargas would soundly outbox AM. Williams big size wont mean **** when he is fighting someone closer to his weight.

So by your logic Iran Barkley should have stopped Duran too?

Dont ever compare Williams to Hearns. Paul is no puncher. Just cause he iced some stiff inside a round doesnt make him a puncher.

Vargas in his prime had the quickness and skill to pick apart Paul's crap defense, not to mention Vargas would physically outmuscle Williams on the inside.

You're not alone on that one. Vargas is one of the best 154 pounders of the last 20 years. HE had speed (an underated attribute) Power, boxer puncher ability, ring inteligence and Heart. What happened to him is what happened to Taylor. TO much too soon. Had he won the fight vs Tito who knows how his career would have ended.

Paul williams is there to be hit and vargas loved using angles while doing it which is how you fight a taller fighter. Vargas by TKO . For the record a prime vargas beats Margo too.

IF you want to match up too good fighters at 54 than match a prime vargas vs a prime terry noris.

Williams by brutal KO. Vargas has a very weak Chin.

a prime Vargas didn't have a weak chin. He fought Yori Boy,Wright, Raul Marquez, and Ike Quartey and had never been stunned or dropped while being hit by these guys. It wasn't untill TIto that Vargas got shot.

Why is it that Mexicans never want to give credit when someone beats one of their champions. It's funny how nobody mentions the lowblows Vargas was hitting Tito with the only diffrence was Tito was'nt complaining to the ref about it but the ref did eventually take a point away from Vargas for hitting low. Tito could fight Vargas ten times and Tito would beat him all ten times he simply did'nt have the masterful boxing skills to beat Tito.

Based on your Location and user name Benny BLanco i know your puerto rican so im not surprised on the asumption that mexicans NEVER want to give credit when someone beats one of their champs. By the way Vargas 1st low blow was in the 10 and by that time Tito had already thrown 3
