Williams is incredibly easy to counter punch his height is almost irrelevant IMO cause he rarely uses it. Vargas in 98-02 could counter punch effectivly and would probablly pound holes in Williams body. Pauls a tough guy with a good chin and I never thought of Vargas as a huge punch even with all them KOs he broke his biggest stoppage win opponets down Campas,Marquez,Rivera. Vargas late TKO like 11-12 or wide UD. I cant see Williams hurting him much either hes a solid puncher but he doesnt have the freight train power Oscar or Tito had. Vargas defeated Quartey and Winky near their primes and I refuse to believe Williams is on that level.

Paul Williams isnt a big puncher at a weight where he is naturally the much bigger guy.

Plus Vargas's chin wasnt a problem until he met Tito.

Basically the only plus points that Williams holds are he is taller, better punch output and he is a southpaw, but Vargas has beaten a much better southpaw and fighter in general in Winky Wright.

Vargas would be too much for the kid.
