Prime Vargas vs Prime Margarito

At 154 Vargas take's this by UD or maybe even by late TKO.

 

Vargas man. Yall mustve forgot. Margo appears much better at 147, at 154 Vargas would be a nightmare for him. Before he was rushed against Tito he took shots pretty well. Hell he lasted nearly 12 hellish round against Tito -- which damaged him for life, but still it took a while and Tito has WAY more power than Margo at 154.

It would be like vargas vs campus, but probably worst.

 

Vargas had good power but now way he knocks out the Tornado. Vargas was strong enough not to let Margarito push him around like he did to Cotto.Vargas had real good skills that would get him the UD. A young Vargas was a beast.

 

The Vargas who beat Ike/Winky beats Margarito by tough decision.

Vargas would start strong and then start to get caught hard in the middle round and would ultimately get stopped late. Vargas was a good fighter but not as good as many seem to think. Even a rusty Quartey gave him a hard time and he arguably lost to Winky. There is a reason he lost most of his big fights against the upper echelon....

 

Vargas was truly something special before he's early downfall. But I'll just take a safe UD in favor of el Feroz on a very exciting fight. Definitely FOYC

I agree.He had his moments,but at his best we was good,not elite.
He was lucky he was connected enough to get fast tracked to a title shot after 14 fights.
If he was a Euro he would have been washed up before he got that shot.

 

Margo isnt as skilled as Tito Or Oscar,but i still think he beats any Vargas.

 

It all comes down to condition...
Vargas is the local kid, But his major flaw was his habbit's.
(Yes, Even as a kid he had bad habbit's)

IMO, Margarito can take Fernando's best shot, Can Vargas Take Tony's Best shot's?
