    Margarito stops him midway probably about 8 rounds.

    Vargas had the warrior mentality but not the chin to go with it. He'd go to war with Margarito and come up short.

    Vargas by UD. He was big and strong enough to outbox and hurt Margo. His chin was good till it got dented by Tito and tito hits harder than Margo. Margo is a grinder and Tito is a boxer/big puncher. Margo would have been drained by the time he catches up to Vargas in the later rounds.

    Vargas in his prime was better at everything than Marg. Marg is tough and he'd hang around for a while, but in the end he'd get outboxed and beat up BAD. Young Vargas was a hell of a fighter. People forget about that and take old fat back-broken Vargas as the real one. Not so.

    vargas ud. vargas is'nt a welter margarito can bully around the ring. much better boxer too.

    it took trinidad 12 to stop vargas, but the lighter punching, more open margarito stops him in 8?

    so now Margarito beats a prime vargas earlier then Trinidad or Oscar de la hoya did???

    Vargas would be boxing circles around Margarito all night long, shooting one twos down the middle like crazy and outboxing the hell out of margarito all night... my question would be if MARGARITO could make it the whole way with the way he gets hit.

    This is one matchup where im completely confident of a prime vargas victory...

    I think Margarito would have some good moments in this fight but Vargas knows when he can outbox a man and Margarito is a guy he can box silly trust me if Vargas can outjab Ike Quartey and take his jab away I know he can box circles around Margarito. Vargas could give great angles and counter punch very good. Margaritos a very durable fighter and I honestly wouldnt EXPECT Vargas to stop him but it could happen late.

    I don't know who would have won. Margarito is 147 and Vargas 154, but would have been a war!

    You're matching a prime 154 fighter vs. a WW? Is that a joke?

    Prime vargas was about 10X better then what he's looked like. Vargas UD, but I do think Margarito would have his moments.
