Always been fascinated by the possibility of that fight (that's why I was hoping Loma would pull off the upset against Haney).
Great blend of styles. I can see Loma outworking Tank and winning a close decision, but of course the threat of Tank by KO is always there - Tank is very sneaky fighting off the back foot, knows how to setup counters, and keeps his composure when the fight gets chaotic.

    Loma hates power punchers

He was able to make it competitive against Haney because Haney is pillow-fisted

Against Linares, he got dropped and had to go through hell to get the stoppage. Teofimo’s jab had him quaking and scared to throw for 8 out of 12 rounds

Tank batters his body then stops him in the mid-late rounds

Any version of Tank puts Loma to sleep.

How is this even a serious question...

Loma can give anyone a fight and more importantly will - he's proven himself competitive against the best available to him to fight, and for the proper belts.

Davis has swerved Loma for years, even though Loma's prime is several years behind him - and has fought for Mickey Mouse straps against second rate fighters.

You can never quite rule out a punchers chance, but loads of fighters look special whilst munching through second and third rate opponents - to be real, you've got to look real against proven real opponents... And Tank just hasn't - yet (hopefully!!).

Are these comments serious? Loma makes him quit worse than he did Walters.
There's a good chance Loma even schools him NOW

Lomachenko styles all over Tank and maybe even stops him.

Could well end up a very cagey boring affair with these two counter punchers. Loma probably gets done over by the judges again

It could've happened anytime during the last seven years but the cowardly little cherrypicking oompa loomp was too busy playing the WBA regular strap season collecting game, fighting bums and ducking Loma like crazy. Twink ducking Loma is one of the worst ducks in the history of ducking. A shameless seven year duck

Neither he nor his babydadda Floyd clearly had the slightest bit of faith he could ever beat Loma in a million years or rather until Loma was a million years old which they were both open about they were waiting for him to get that old (slight exaggeration but you know what I mean).

Twink's best win in a decade long career, and the only prime legit future, former or current world champion he's fought who was a champion at the weight he fought them at (Loma fought six at 135 alone) is Pedraza ie. the fighter Loma jumped into a unification match up against just seven months after shoulder surgery when wasn't near 100% and he'd been strongly advised by his surgeon not to return that quickly because it takes about 12 months to fully recover from those kind of injuries and surgery to repair it. Hence why he instructed Loma to devise a game plan which revolved around not throwing his right hook.

Remember when Floyd and Twink were beefing and Floyd threatened to make the Loma fight to scare Twink? :risas3:

Devin Haney 2020: ''Loma is too old too slow''

Tank 2019: ''Loma an old man. I'll retire him''

Floyd 2019: ''Lomachenko needs to fight as many fights as possible, extremely quick!, because he's very very old''

Loma was very very old in 2019 but Floyd still wouldn't contemplate putting Twink in there with him. Even when Loma offered to fight him for free they still wanted zero smoke.

If Tank can't finish in the short rounds, I think Loma will beat him.

This may be the easiest, most obvious multiple choice question in boxing history.

    1. If Davis doesn't catch prime Lomachenko with one of his perfect punches then Lomachenko will win every minute of every round.

    2. If Davis does catch Lomachenko he can put him out for good, even if it's the final minute of the 12th round. There is nothing in Loma's history that makes me think he can take one of those punches and keep going.

I think Loma would win but it is really difficult to be perfect for 12 rounds. Like Deontay Wilder, Davis just needs one punch. The difference is that Davis has better boxing skills and is a heckuva lot quicker than Wilder. Davis certainly has a chance.
