True. This is Timmys big moment and he dropped the ball, thats all she wrote.

No point wondering what if now, this is was Tszyus moment to write the record and it is what is it is.

Yeah it's a lose/lose. He beats a guy on an 0-2 run? Big deal. Or the fight picks up where the first fight did prior to elbow/cut and he loses his belt to said guy on 0-2 run. That fight isn't happening anytime soon. It's going to be a hard climb back into contention for Tszyu.

Tim's weaknesses have been exposed. Big punchers will hurt him; he needs to fight light hitting guys. Or just go home and enjoy the rest of your life in good health.

It looked like it. Too arrogant to even keep his hands up or avoid punches, no adjustments just walking forward despite eating big shots trying to be a tough guy. What happened to what his dad was saying about breaking down his opponent slowly?

Indeed he did. He's made lots of new fans. Some of them disingenuous and purely in the moment others pure fans of the sport. I look forward to more of his fights.

Looks like another brand is in trouble. They can always match him with the other offspring brands Benn or Eubank, maybe do a series. Hearn might already be considering the idea.

Folks, that is in part the difference between having 300 amateur fights (Kostya) and 30 amateur fights (Tim).

Besides having more natural talent (power/beard/reflexes) Kostya mastered distance and anticipating counters. He never sold out for a KO at the expense of what was likely to come back. Those circuits were forged over the course of a thousand rounds.

I was thinking Murtazaliev had the right style to beat him and I thought that left hook was money, I loved how it was more than enough to jolt Culcay and back him off every time he landed It (which is no easy feat), and that Tim would be walking into it all night. But my only apprehension in picking him was how sluggish he looked at times against Culcay, but upon hearing that he was fasting due to Ramadan a few days ago, during the lead up to that fight, that erased all doubts. I mean, that violent burst in the 11th that put Culcay down was damned impressive. So I stuck with him.

The 5-1 odds for Murtaz were ridiculous also, would have been a great bet if your into that. I always thought it was at least a 50/50 fight I never understand how he was being dismissed.

His corner was out to lunch on the Fundora fight. There is no question the fight should have been stopped prior to the 4th.

I have to admit I knew nothing about Murtazaliev. I just assumed Tszyu would catch him at some point. I didn't think it was going to be an especially tough fight for Tszyu.
