Vitali was tall, awkward, rangy, was a relentless volume puncher, and had an iron chin. He would have beaten prime Tyson.

His iron chin is a myth. He was KOed big time by Pele Reid with a spinning back kick which as not even accelerated with full force.
He is difficult to KO because he has good eyes, he usually sees the attacks of his opponent coming, but he didnt see Reid´s kick, that was the main reason why he was out cold.
A real "iron chin" doesnt run away from Sanders after one left hand lands. Guys like Chuvalo or McCall would just take that hand without running away.

Vitali has never been tested by a proper body puncher, which the prime Tyson obviously was.
Tyson hat the speed to close the gap very fast and land hard combo´s on Vitali´s stomach, liver and ribs. Not one of his opponents had the combination of speed and power like Tyson.

Tyson is overall much faster then Vitali, thats really a comparisation between the T-1000 from Terminator vs. RoboCop when it comes to moving speed and slickness.

Vitali was fast for a man of his frame, but he was not close as fast as Tyson was.

+ Tyson doenst have an iron jaw, but he was also not a glass chin. He took many very good shots without being hurt or going down.
