Bowe by brutal KO. He would put too much pressure on Vitali. Look what Lewis did fighting out of character to Vitali. That type of fight Bowe was the master of. He would bust Vitali up a lot quicker and easier.
Vitali beats the heck out of Bowe. Bowe has bad defense, he'd be the smaller man, and Vitali would have no trouble picking him off and probably stopping him.
Vitali has fought one guy on the same level as a Riddick Bowe, and that was Lennox Lewis, and that was an old Lennox Lewis fighting uncharacteristically to press the fight to Vitali. Lewis got hit alot in that fight too. Bowes fighting style in all his fights was the style Lewis used in the Vitali fight. Bowe in his prime had a better chin, could fight great on the inside, had a great jab, and righthand from the outside. Beating Corrie Sanders and Danny Williams doesnt cut it in my book for Vitali. Bowe would beat him down badly.
What a nonsense post. -Bowe avoided Lewis -Bowe had a better chin? He got dropped by a shop-worn CW. What is your opinion of Bowe based on? He's fought nobody other than Holyfield.
To me Bowes started sliding right after winning the title. I believe were talking about the best Bowe in this thread? Lewis beat him in the amaters but the fight was stopped prematurely in my opinion and after Bowe had won the first round. Regardless Bowe was a real solid top notch pro heavyweight. I doubt Eddie Futch would have wasted his time with him if he felt he wasnt any good. The fact that Futch hung in as long as he did with Bowe showed how good he really thought he could be. His career was very short. His lack of conditioning and discipline basically ruined and shortened his career terribly. You cant gain and drop 100 pounds between fights. I dont recall Bowe being hurt before the third Holyfield fight from Holyfield. At that point he was a shell in my opinion. The Golota fights he just wasnt physically strong anymore, even though he still made Golota foul out of the fights. Big difference between the Bowe that fought Holy in the first fight and the Bowe that fought Golota. Even he knew it was time to hang em up after those fights.
Bowe was not on the same level as Lewis, even the old heavy Lewis that Vitali fought was leagues above Bowe. In his fight with Lewis, Vitali showed a really good chin too. Bowe wwas decked by the smaller (medium-hard hitter) Holyfield, Bowe was beaten to a pulp by Golota. YOu say Vitali has not fought anyone of note...aside from Evander, neither has Bowe.
:yep I'd love to see glass VITLAY go through the wars Bowe went through with Holyfield, he'd have quit after about 3 rounds.
I believe your talking about Bowe getting caught by the undefeated Herbie Hide where he got rocked a little? I dont recall him going down, but I do recall Hide going down like 8 times before they stopped the fight. Beating Holyfield eclipses anything Vitali ever did. What makes Vitali such a dynamo? Vitali's whole legacy is based on a loss against an old Lennox Lewis.
Yep, and with that win was the undisputed champion, something else that eclipses anything VITLAY ever did, or ever will do.
