People slate Vitalis resume but Bowes is no better.

Apart from Holyfield who did Bowe fight?

Jesse Ferguson and Larry Donald are probably the best fighters outside of Golota and Holyfield.

    Really?
You forgot to mention James Smith, Tony Tucker (beat Douglas), Frank Bruno, Razor Ruddock, etc. He got in about as many fights as Lewis had in his entire career during that short period of his prime, so I think you are incorrect. :good
Tyson also fought a very good group of fighters who were current and former champions, in comparison to Lewis, whose fights in his prime were mostly against a large list of guys who never did much more before and after they fought Lewis.

    Michael Dokes former champion
Pierre Coezter #2 contender in the WBA
    Bruce Seldon future WBA champion
    Tony Tubbs former champion
    Tyrell Biggs olympic gold medalist
    Pinklon Thomas former champion
Larry Donald undefeated at the time and #1 contender
Herbie Hide undefeated at the time and #1 contender

Its not stellar but certainly better than the list of no namers that Vitali fought most of his caereer.

How many former and future champions did Vitali "beat" outside of a former cruiserweight champion in Orlin Norris?

James Smith? are you shitting me? Frank Bruno was a robot... as for Razor Ruddock... did you see how badly Lewis exposed him?

Tyson fought nobody in the class of Lewis in his prime so to say he would have beat the likes of Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Lewis ect based on him knocking over a lot of tin cans is a very bold statement imo

James Smith was the WBA champ and a decent hard hitting fighter. Lewis never faced anyone in the class of Tyson in his prime either, but he faced some fighters that Tyson had an easier time with. You said size BTW, and I never made that last statement. I gave you a nice list of fighters who could box and had some size and strenght behind their punches. You also left off Tucker who was a good boxer. Frank Bruno handled Lennox Lewis for 7 rounds before getting caught. Oliver Mcall knocked out Lennox Lewis? Not to mention Rahman. Lewis became a better fighter, but he was in no condition to face a prime Tyson in the early part of his first title run.

To suggest that Tyson was not in the same class as Lewis is kind of ridiculous, especially considering Lewis controversially and barely beat Mercer, was knocked out by a former Tyson sparring partner, and struggled with Bruno who Tyson also beat quite handily.

Yes, Golota fought a deterioated version of Bowe. We are talking about the Bowe from the first Holyfield.

I see it the same way. Vitali would provide Bowe with some solid opposition and it would be a good fight. You just dpn't tun like that over Vitali. But, the Lewis fight showed that a good jab and an overhand right are important assets to beat Vitali. Bowe can do both very well.

Bowe was NEVER in anything that could be called "prime". He was a talented but lazy son of a *****. At 29 he fought like a 49 year old.

Great matchup. Bowe stops Vitali in about 8 rounds. Probably has too take some stiff jabs on the way but would win convincingly enough in the end.

Prime Bowe wouldn't get into the ring with Vitali. He'd say Vitali isn't worthy and toss the belt in the bin.

Then head straight to McDonald's and eat a few more burgers.

Bowe = joke. Talent alone doesn't make a great fighter. Discipline and mental toughness against oneself is required and Bowe had neither.

It appears you're having a tough time educating those V.K. fanatics.
but if nothing else is dramatically increases your post counts...lol

I personally think Bowe would win this fight with his infighting skills. Both the Klitschko brothers have talent but they're too robotic and they don't seem to have natural instincts in the ring, in terms of movement, and punch selection. And if a fighter of comparable size can get on the inside they have a good chance of winning. I think a prime Bowe could do that against V.K.

Either way it would make for an interesting fight.
