Exactly the division is terrible right now. Not only are those Russians uncharismatic, they lack talent too. Exceptions are obviously the Klits. Hopefully Haye will add some excitement.

    :lol::rofl

Have you ever seen Vitali fight? He rarely clinches. He even said he considers it dishonorable. The ONLY fight he had with multiple clinches was the Lewis fight because Lewis was hanging all over him and using the Manny Steward Jab and Grab style.

If he lost he would not be in his prime.

So I guess a Prime Bowe has to win.

But Vitali would win the event.

Disagreed. Vitali clinches because he likes to use his height, look at the Gomez and Lewis fights for instant. Bowe would Ko this guy, if there were infighting.

I think prime Bowe would win because prime Bowe was very active.

There *might* have been 5 clinches in the Gomez fight. I counted 2 or 3 in the Peter fight. Vitali can't stop Lewis from grabbing onto him after any type of exchange.

It is very simple. Prime Bowe is better than out shape and out of prime LL.Vitali will present solid oppoistion and it will be a war but Bowe is just the more complete fighter.

I know Bowe fans say he was way past his prime when he was schooled by Golota but in reality it was his next fight after KO'ing Holyfield. He was introduced as the best HW in the world according to most experts.
Vitali would beat Bowe worse than Golota only he wouldn't let him off the hook by using his bollocks as a speedbag.

So your saying he retired in his prime? Or are you saying he was completely washed up after the first Golota fight?

I agree, a 25 year old Bowe would stop a 37 year old, 256 pound Lennox Lewis. Bowe was very good at fighting inside, and making his bouts dog fights. Vitali is a good technician, but he does'nt have the skin to beat Bowe. Bowe wins on cuts in 6-7 rounds.

I have never heard that Bowe was living badly. At any rate, that has nothing to do with this discussion.

What did Golota do exactly? He fought well, and folded up like a cheap suit when Bowe kept after him. He caved in and fouled out because he had no taste for real combat. That's exactly what I expect from Vitali in such an ugly dust up. He was in a real pinch against Byrd and quit, fighting a pile of mediocre contenders will never change that fact.

He rarely has clinched because he has rarely fought anyone with size and a pulse. But Vit clinches when he finds himself getting punched in the face and can't defend himself in any other way. In the 1st round with the 6'4" Sanders he did his own brotherly version of the Klitschko panic attack as he retreated, stumbled, flailed, HELD, and eventually fell as Corrie threw shots at his dome and grill. Against the 6'5" Lewis, he held as he caught hard shots to his chin and head. Against the 6'5" Bowe (or any more talented big man) he would again do what he needs to do to stop getting thumped especially clinch if that is what the situation dictates.

Sure, if he only gets in the ring with ex-middleweights (standing 6 and weighing a bit over 2 bucks -especially as they can't punch) or slow "C" class athletes (whether unskilled & horrible or short and fat) clinching shouldn't be too necessary for any half-decent 6'8" guy.

Should be clear to anyone who has eyes.

Only shitstains that don't know boxing make comments like this. When Golota fought Bowe he was a handful of a fighter. Go watch his bouts. He was a very fast and technically good big guy. He just had mental issues that cost him fights. He caved in against Bowe, Lewis, Tyson and Grant. He had a good chance in all of those fights to win except for maybe agianst Lewis. The Golota past that point was shot, but Golota in his prime had great ability as a fighter. Sadly, he was a mental case! If you let Andrew into a fight he was very hard to handle. If not for mental deficiencies Andrew would be held in very high regard as a former HW Champion of the World.

The Grant fight was the craziest thing... I thought Golota was going to KO him in the first round he dropped Grant twice then ran out of time in the round Grant was still out on his feet. Andrew was WAY ahead and then just up and quit for no reason. :-(
