I'm going with Tyson Fury finding a way to beat Vitali. Like him, or hate him, Fury keeps finding ways to win. And he's one of the most adaptable Heavyweights I've ever seen.

    Say what ?

    Questionable punch ?

VK was cut over the eye.....under the eye.......both lips......inside the mouth.......he was , literally, carved up..................are all those cuts by questionable punches ? LOL,just from memory, he had like 60/70 stitches afterwards in the Hospital.............if the Ringside Doctor would not have stopped it Lewis would have ended VK' career with loosing his eye.

didn't Lewis hold Vitaly's head when he threw the punch that caused the cut? that was my memory.

Vitaly would defeat Fury. Fury is lucky there ain't any good fighters in there prime around and he hasn't fought anyone besides Wilder who floored him 4 x

    Here's the analysis:

    1) Vitali has never fought anybody that is as tall as Fury + as elusive as Fury with body, head and foot movement.

    2) Fury has never fought anybody who is as tall as Vitali, that also has as much work-rate and stamina to boot.

Now based on these two unknowns, we can call this a 50-50 fight. Objectively, neither guy has faced anybody like the other. Fury's counter to an opponent with high work-rate is to hold them, lean on them and slow the pace of the fight down. Fury prefers to fight at a slow tempo and he does this by grappling, feinting and moving.

However, he has never had to do that against someone as big and strong as Vitali Klitschko who also has high work-rate and prefers to fight at a high tempo. Vitali is no Wlad who prefers a slow-paced bout himself being more methodical and safety-first. Vitali is also no Wilder who is a very small-framed, physically weak 6 foot 5+ heavyweight who was easily outmuscled by Fury and lacks the work-rate of Vitali.

Can Fury outmuscle Vitali? I don't know! But one thing for sure, Fury was the one getting outmuscled by Wladimir Klitschko in their bout. Whenever there was a clinch, Fury was the one getting backed up / pushed back. Now I don't know this for sure, but I assume Vitali is at the very least, as strong as his younger brother. So I can't see Fury's clinch game that works against smaller and weaker heavyweights like Wilder working here.

If Fury beats an iron chinned, 6 foot 5+ heavyweight with high work-rate that is also strong, I might start favoring Fury. But until then, it's 50/50!

It's also funny how Vitali's eye cut against Lewis is constantly mentioned, when Fury himself suffered from pretty much the same cut against B level Otto Wallin, or at least something very close to that cut. But unlike Vitali Klitschko, Fury got the benefit of the doubt by the referee when he allowed the fight to continue in favor of Fury despite the cut whilst the referee in the Vitali-Lewis fight did not provide the same favor to Vitali even though the damage was roughly the same. So let's not act like that somehow makes Fury a superior boxer, when he not only could have lost to Wallin for the same reason Vitali Klitschko lost to Lennox Lewis, but also when he clearly lost and got a gift decision and robbed one of his early opponent named John Mcdermott. Difference is, Vitali lost his fights fair and square even though he was winning both fights that he lost. Whilst Fury got help from the referee and judges to remain undefeated. So truth is, Fury should have two losses himself in his record, but unlike Vitali, his losses should have come against inferior opponents than the two guys that officially beat Vitali Klitschko.

So Vitali's eye-cut is not a valid argument in favor of Fury in this match-up by any means!

Vitali is pretty decent but on two occasions it was a bit hard he looked for an out and quit. Fury has got this. I can't believe how overated Vitali is on here it/s based on very little evidence.

Utter speculation! Fury's eye was also damaged against Wallin.

Vitali was talented, but those who rate him as a major H2H force in hypothetical dreams fights do tend to forget that he was bested by the two best boxers he ever faced.

Love your youtube channel quailty content Rummy. I don't know if my memory is playing tricks and it could be but I watched the Lennox v Vitali fight live and really got the impression that Vitali was looking for an out when the round ended. When I rewatched it later it seems it had been edited or different camera angles used. In hindsight I wish I'd recorded it but my instinct believes this to be true. The Byrd fight is more clear cut. The funny thing is the detractors will always go Vitali was ahead but he was stopped by being repeatedly punched in the face untill he looked like Jack in American Werewolf in London. TK06 is one of the strangest things I've observed being on this site.
