Anyone who quits against a slick blown-up SMW in Byrd isn't beating Fury and is probably getting stopped.
Not sure what Fury stopping Vitali is based on. Fury isnt a big puncher and I dont remember Vitali being off his feet or looking close to it. He stood up to Lewis despite the cuts
Don’t waste space and time on threads responding to NEETs, he’s here to troll and push a ridiculous agenda. It’s just a waste of everyone’s time.
Klitschko spanks him. Fury trying to muscle in in Vitali is laughable and Fury's herky jerky rythmn games are not going to affect Vitali's high-output style.
Fury fought better competition? There are people on this board who have Lewis ranked #1 in H2H matchups at HW. Both Vitali and Fury have somewhat thin resumes but Vitali fought the better fighters between the two. It's a pretty far drop-off for Fury once you get past W. Klitchsko, which was an absolutely terrible fight for both fighters.
I can't help myself. Anyone who defends Fury like he is the second coming of Muhammed Ali has mental issues.
And he lost. Vitali's best win is who? Peter? Arreola? Chisora? If resume was only about who they fought rather than who they beat, Chisora would have the best resume in heavyweight boxing. Resume = wins not losses.
Those are still better wins than Ngannou, Whyte, Wallin. I don't rate Wilder high either, he's probably no better than Peter. An old W. Klitschko is the best win between the two but the original thread I responded to said Fury fought the better competition, which isn't true.
Both Peter and Wilder have a common opponent in Helenius... Regardless, it's just your opinion. Fighting better competition doesn't mean much if you lost, because as I said, that would mean Chisora would have the best resume in heavyweight boxing and maybe boxing as a whole but it doesn't work that way thankfully. EDIT: Also, I don't think the original question is fair when one fighter is still active and has a huge fight coming up. If he beats Usyk, there can be no doubt he has a better resume than Vitali
He specifically said Fury fought better competition and beat them while out of shape. And it does matter if you fought better competition even if you lose. I can point to plenty of HW's who have less losses than Holyfield, does that make them better than him? If you fight the best, you are going to lose some because once you hit a certain level there isn't a huge difference between the two fighters beyond maybe some intangibles.
Okay but Evander has wins against greats. And a large reason why he's considered a great is because he went from being the best Cruiserweight to having back and fourths with heavyweight greats. Back to the point, does Vitali even have a win against a single great heavyweight? It depends, if you consider Chisora a great... It's all good saying "if you fight the best, you are going to lose some" but does Vitali even have 1?
No but neither does Fury the way people **** all over Wladimir Klitschko. And if you ask me who fought the stiffer competition, it would be Vitali IMO. Now if Fury beats Usyk and goes on to beat AJ than I'll change my opinion.
By "stiffer competition" you mean 1 single guy. Lennox. Who was old and still beat him. A win over Wlad means he at least has a win over a great. Something Vitali sorely lacks. Wins over any 1 of Usyk or AJ would add yet another name on his resume that surely trumps any win on Vitali's resume. Fury's resume as of right now is weak, sure. But it isn't as weak as Vitali's that's for damn sure.
Again, people don't rank Wlad that highly. Even if I grant you Wladimir for Fury, it's a steep drop-off after that. Wilder just got exposed by Joe Parker, the second best fighter he faced. It wasn't even competitive, Wilder is not some great name on Fury's resume. And after Wilder you have Chisora X3 (who Vitali also beat), Whyte, Wallin, and...Cunningham? I still think Peter, Donald, Briggs, Arreola, Solis, and Hide are better than those guys. Neither guy has an outstanding resume but I think Vitali's is better, although not by a huge margin.
