Just calm down pal, its all just a joke. The Classic forum is the best on the internet for boxing history and everyone in it (except afew) are reasonable and normal people who know and love the sport. You obviously love the sport just calm it down abit, and use the search function before posting new threads as the same topics over and over again is very boring and trust me if you hang around a few months you will find out.

So just chill out and enjoy the forum.

 

I'm thinking about starting one, myself, with 2 choices to vote on only:

JOE LOUIS vs MIKE TYSON, Who would win?

(Only people who actually saw them both fight may vote!)

1. Joe Louis wins...somehow...at least sometimes.

2. Tyson wins every time by knockout in 10 seconds.

Then we will see who wins the poll!!!

 

Tyson all wrong for Holmes I think. Cus Dmato taught Tyson at a young age how to beat Holmes.

I don't think that ending is going to get me to vote (Which I did already).

 

i think the tyson of 88 would have beaten the holmes of 80 it wouldnt be easy but theres no way that tyson would of let holmes off the hook the way shavers or snipes did tyson was the best finisher in heavyweight history at that time i think only tyson and ali could have beaten larry at his peak

 

I think this one gets a bit blown out. Gearing up thru your early career (supposedly) expecting to fight a certain style doesn't guarantee you can do it. There are so many intangibles beyond just the style. Even tho Tyson based himself around beating a style like Holmes i think the Holmes style would be just as good in the reverse. He's got plenty to trouble Tyson.
