    Why are you comparing young prime early 20's Tyson with faded 37 year old Wladimir?:think
    I know he's so great that he's still champion, head and shoulders above the rest and could still whip prime Tyson but still it's a litle bit of an unfair comparison.

    Tyson got knocked out by featherfisted Buster Douglas(54% KO) and stopped by a blown up cruiserweight Holyfield(51% KO).

    If Tyson got KO'ed by Buster Douglas what makes you think Tyson can survive Wladimir Klitschko?

    Mike Tyson's performance and KO% suffered as he fought heavier opponents

    180lbs-199lbs--->100%
    200lbs-214lbs--->91%
    215lbs-229lbs--->83%
    230lbs+--->64%

    In Mike Tyson's loses(all by KO/TKO) the median weight for the opponent was 240lbs.

    Are we seeing a pattern here?

    Trainer eye witnesses:Wladimir Klitschko punches harder than Mike Tyson

    Question:
    "You have worked with a lot of world class fighters. Is Tyson the hardest puncher you have ever seen or should I say felt?"

    Freddie Roach (trainer of both Mike Tyson and Wladimir Klitschko)
    "Punch for punch I think Klitschko probably hits a little bit harder but Mike’s much more explosive."

    Interview link: http://www.doghouseboxing.com/DHB/Pino081704.htm

    and

    Larry Merchant about Tommy Brooks (trainer of both Mike Tyson and Wladimir Klitschko)
    "Tommy Brooks.. perhaps said one of the highest compliments to Klitschko, when he said, his hands are faster than Tyson's were."

    Emanuel Steward (HOF trainer):
    "That's a tremendous compliment, especially when you consider the man is 6'6''"

    [YT]18F3A6zCILw[/YT]

    So from above video and witness expert opinion Tyson's power came from the "surprise punches" he throws using his innate explosiveness on short angles while Wlad throws longer punches like his trademark 1 2 combo that are HARDER AND FASTER

    Tyson's main ability was to generate power from short distances because he was so small with his short arms but his undoing came when a skilled taller opponent could keep him on the outside in a position where he couldn't hit them but they could hit him.
    Wladimir is the master at keeping the distance and throwing long distance bombs out of opponents range.

    Tyson would resort to plan B and try and bumrush Wlad just like he did to Douglas and Lewis when he could connect with his short range punches and he will get clinched up and get fatigued from Wlad.

    Unlike Mike Tyson, Wiladimir Klitschko has KO power from round 1 to round 12

    [YT]VoBcr-NMT7I[/YT]
    Still has the eneregy and 1 punch power to KO Chambers in the last minute of the last round

    KO/TKO wins 7-12 rounds

    Wladimir--->12
    Tyson--->4

    Tyson's only stoppage win after was a controversial TKO stoppage over Jose Ribalta

    Jose Ribalta was:

    Knocked out in 4 rounds by Chris Byrd
    Knocked out in 2 round by Vitali Klischko

    ...and was even KO'd by 0-1 cruiserweight Ricardo Richardson:oops:
    Mike Tyson's late power and finishing abilities were very poor.

    Wladimir is a much better late finisher than Mike.

    100% of Tyson losses were by stoppage, the round average being 8.
    Tyson was a guy who broke down late and got stopped.
    Wladimir is excellect at doing this to his opponents.

    The Fight

    Wladimir keeps Tyson at range with the jab and right cross, clinches when Tyson bumrushes him,Tyson fatigues as the rounds progress from the constant barrage of hard jabs and right crosses out of his range and clinching with a much bigger opponent. As Tyson fatigues further he starts moving slugglishly and telegraphing his movement. Mid way through the 9th round Wladimir catches Tyson coming forward with another telephone pole jab and a brutal right cross right behind. Tyson had no time to brace for the punch and he goes down in a heap on his back. 1.....2.....Tyson wipes his bloody nose with his glove...3.....4.....5.....6..He gets to a knee...7....8....9....He continues to rise completely out on his feet...10 OUT!

    Wladimir Klitschko defeats Mike Tyson (KO 9):smoke

    Tyson would came out at the bell bursting like a race horse, Wlad's eyes would have gotten big. He would have stuck his jab out there to measure and keep Tyson off. Tyson would have slipped it and countered with a leaping left hook that would have grazed the top of Wlad's head.

    Wlad would have stumbled a little and looked to hold Tyson. The ref breaks it. Wlad even more nervous than before looks to push Tyson's head down as he's bobbing and weaving forward, but Tyson lands a big overhand right that KO's Wladimir

    KO1!! Tyson

    Mike's speed would give Wlad nightmares when he's knocked out in brutal fashion in round 1.

    It's nice to actually see someone on these forums who actually knows a thing or two about boxing, I've always wondered why there isn't a Tyson fantasy thread, then all the ******s could play nice together.

    I think Vitali would beat Tyson.
    Just because he would weather the "Storm"

    Wlad's not weathering any storm.

    Tyson by brutal highlight reel KO in round one. Waldo's fans would claim Mike had poison gloves on afterwards. :yep
