No he cant. Wlad has never shown he could come in and work the body, his forte is fighting from the outside.

 

Douglas was a far better boxer than ANY of those guys.

 

I still feel this is a 50/50 fight.

I can see Tyson figuring out the jab and overwhelming Wlad with an early stoppage.

Or I can see Wlad timing Tyson with right leads and clinching his way to a late stoppage or points win.

Before you guys continue on your rant, please be honest with yourselves and decide. Are you picking Tyson because of your admiration for his skills or are you picking Tyson because of your dislike for Wlad?

I just went back and watched tysons first 15 fights, in all honesty it only took about 30 minutes with all the KO1 action... He was fast and devastating but I couldn't get over every time they brought in a fighter and hyped the size advantage 6'6" 226 or 6'4" 231 and these are some slobs.... Tyson even said it himself the heavyweights today are bigger and stronger than those he fought.

Again I say Wlad wins 7 or 8 out of 10 but I give Tyson a good chance to catch Wlad... So lets say the Wlad that fell asleep vs Brewster loses to Tyson, but I don't think Tyson would have been able to take the initial punishment that Brewster absorbed

 

So Wlad hugs his way to victory?

This even, fantasy match-up takes place in Germany does it, where Wlad is free to make as many fouls as he wants? Give me a break please.

Fantasy fights are fought on even terms and the consistent fouling Wlad commits is not within the rules therefor does not factor into the debate.

Why wouldn't Tyson be able to take it? He absorbed massive amounts of punishment vs Douglas, Holy and Lewis and wasnt stopped till late. Its Wlad who's chin needs to be worried about here and even HE has admitted it wasnt very good. I'd take prime Tysons speed, power and durability over Wlads size advantage and questionable durability any day prime for prime.

 

Wlad would hug and tie Tyson better much worse than Lewis did. Tyson could win by DQ when the ref takes Wlad out for holding. If he doesn't Wlad destroys him in the later rounds.

He does that anywhere thats not controlled by his own ref ,and he's leaving with DQ loss after round two.

Jumping on Tyson is all Wlad would be able to achieve.
