It would be rough as all hell..Fenech would starve Pedroza for room and it will bring out all the tricks EP had. Eusebio was a good inside fighter for a slickster of his ilk. At the same time Fenech's skills at range get overlooked, he had good stand up skills, excellent upper body movement and fairly decent hand and footspeed. I might have a think about this one....My initial gut feeling was Pedroza by a couple of points but I think his lack of pop and tendency to give away rounds plays into Jeff's hands quite a bit. Ill probably still end up side with Pedroza but I might review a few fights as the cricket is boring me right now.
Undecided on this one. Jeff was pretty monstrous, even at 126, but Pedroza could really get nasty when physically challenged and lay out an ass whipping if you tried to take it to him. I'd have said Fenech by a few points if the last fight I'd seen wasn't the Pedroza-Ford fight, which was a savage beatdown and stoppage of a very good fighter. Now I'm unsure. Fenech doesn't have the greatest of chins and Pedroza will likely hurt him throughout the fight and may get the respect needed for some breathing space, which he'll take advantage of. Happy to sit on the fence with this one.
Just watched Pedroza-Ford again the other day...but this time straight after I watched Sanchez-Ford. Excellent performance against a freak of a featherweight who showed just how dangerous he could be against Sal...much different fighter to Jeff though I must say.
Very true. Thing I took from the fight though was just how aggressive and punishing Pedroza could be at his best. Something you wouldn't automatically think having watched his fights against Laporte and Lockridge, where he was much more circumspect. Juan had a anvil chin though, and Rocky's wasn't too far behind.
