Hopkins outsmarts, outmanuevers, and outboxes Toney, keeping the fight for the most part on the outside, where Toney struggled. Hopkins UD. Trinidad KTFO Forrest somewhere around round 8. Forrest may be ahead on the cards when the stoppage comes. McCallum truly peaked at 160, and prime for prime I say Mike gets to Hearns late and stops him. At 154 he wasn't quite so well-rounded, but I could still see him pullling that off. Morales at his best just edges Marquez in a fight that would be more or less 50/50.
I think Morales wins Marquez in his prime by about 117-111. He proved that p4p him and Barrera would a class above these around now when he beat a prime Pac-Man when he himself was past it. I even thought Morales beat David Diaz. You only have to watch Barrera fight Marquez to see who was better prime for prime. I don't care what the ref said that was a legitimate knock down and Marquez had a while to recover from that. Even Barrera and Pac-Man's last fight was pretty close.

Toney would connect on his counters while Hopkins would try and hold & bring the fight down to his level. Since both boxers are Americans and the fight is likely to take place in the US, Hopkins would have points deducted for his bull**** tactics. Thus, Toney by wide UD.
Hopkins is pretty much as cagey and slick as they come. You don't land on him PERIOD. Many great P4P fighters have tried and they have failed. Hopkins makes God look bad in a 12 rounder.
the hopkins of 2008 would, but not a prime hopkins from around 2000. he'd frusturate toney with his movement and ring generalship, making toney come to him. hopkins wins this fight, no question.
Have you ever seen Bernard Hopkins in his prime? He'd make Toney come to him, keep the fight at long-range, where Toney was never good. Toney at his very best arguably should have lost to naturally smaller and past his best Mike McCallum because when Mike chose to keep the fight on the outside he was in control. Hopkins would make Toney lead by using his footwork, he'd outbox and outmaneuver Toney, and he would outwork him when he chose to as well. This is a style match-up that always favors Hopkins.
