The problem with this theory is that I've heard this a million times during the last 8 years 'XYZ just has to land ONE SINGLE TIME, then the fight is over'. Tua is so short and he has such a disadvantage in reach that it is VERY LIKELY that he won't land a single flush powershot right on Wlad's chin.

That was the same argument for Tua over Lewis back then going into the fight. Tua just has to "land once" It didn't work out that way. Tua landed nothing with enough leverage to do anything.

I don't get the "one punch" argument against Wlad anyway. It didn't work for Peter as Wlad just danced and clinched his way out of trouble. It didn't work for Haye who did hurt Wlad in the 12th but Wlad clinched, recovered and won the round, it didn't work for Wach..etc.

    wlad koes holyfield late.

wlad plays with tua and decisions him

wlad koes golota and rahman without breaking a sweat

no I don't buy that he wont ever land a SINGLE flush powershot on Wlad. He has even chances of landing a fair few that take splitseconds to land, in the space of over 2000 seconds. Far weaker boxers have done it, and then followed up to destroy Wlad, so ageing Tua has a fair chance even though its edge to Wlad.

I disagree. I think 2008-2012 Wlad can't be compared to 2002 Wlad -- Steward adjusted his game big time. Those mediocre fighters who hit a aggressive and reckless Wlad in 2002/2003/2004 wouldn't lay a glove on him in 2010.

    Just my opinion though.

Would Wlad have beaten some of those fighters he beat if he held back on his aggression back then - perhaps, or perhaps not.

ah but cool bro. I mean, evidence also suggest wlad has gone downhill from his prime days too, the actual hard scientific facts of physical deterioration, that is, so I don't come without backup myself.
    just the scientific facts, though.

My opinion remains the same that prime 20something Wlad has the edge over old Tua, and early 30something too, but tua has a fair chance, and a much better chance when prime.

He loses to Vitali and Holyfield definitely. That version of Holyfield was decent and was on PEDs.

Maybe to Tyson in the first few rounds. Wlad's not even fought guys on this level and has been put down by lesser than shot Tyson, he'd also be nervous. But since Tyson was gone, I'd pick Wlad on points or late tko, depends on how many times he hits Tyson rather than clinching him.

Beats Rahman and should favor him over Tua, but naturally if Tua connects it could be over.

That Vitali, and Holyfield beat him in my opinion. Not sure about the others.

What's the point of this thread anyway? I'm pretty certain that Lewis would beat every single one of Wlads previous opponents with little trouble.

Evander didn't look old and shot in the rematch. I'd take that Holyfield over Wlad any day of the week and twice on Sunday...
