Vitali has a 90% plus KO ratio so I think we can say that Vitali is the powerful of the two...Dont get me wrong...Wlad is the better techinal boxer than Vitali...Thats about all he holds over Vitali IMO...I think Sam Peter would beg to differ about who's the most powerful of the two...He lasted on his feet with Wlad were as he quit on his stool against Vitali....Thats not really much but I think you can catch my drift on the situation.

Wlad may be the techinal sound fighter but that still doesnt give him the edge IMO...Wlad seems to go into safe mode once the fighter implies selective pressure on him! Wlad hasnt faced a fighter like Lewis and I honestly dont like Wlad chances against Lewis here...We've say what a focused, prime Lewis would do...Lewis always brings mutliple game plans to the fight.

With that being said...I just dont see Wlad hanging in there with big Lennox!

Vitali has the higher KO percentage but Wlad hits harder. Vitali tends to wear guys down with a high output of heavy punches but doesn't often ice opponents in single shots like Wlad has done.
Sam Peter quit against Vitali because he knew he had no chance of winning, against Wlad he knew he had the chance of a KO, plus he had him down 3 times. I think he took the heavier shots against Wladimir.

Wlad is a mechanical Lennox Lewis. Lewis wins this one in a 8-4 drubbing.

Lennox decided nothing. He escaped with a win over a cut.

And if Lewis was in his prime Vitali wouldn't have had a face left

Vitali makes himself look great if anything, not his fans. And for the record I'm not a "huge" Vitali fan. I tell it like it is.

Glad to hear it mate :good

Call me cynical but when we scored early I thought the writing was on the wall. Don't even ask me why, I just had the feeling that we'd settle back and think we'd already won it. Rooney wasn't the concern for me, it was Owen, funnily enough - and I was half right I suppose :huh

Good analysis overall, well done :thumbsup

Anyone who thinks Lewis is stupid enough to just come out guns blazing is under rating Lewis' ring smarts and Wladimir's ability.

Common sense right there. I've been saying it all along, these guys are both great fighters, head to head, against any Heavy in history & they have more in common than not.
