YEs but Steward actually came after prime Wlad,
so that what I said, current Wlad (with Steward's help)
could have better chance than Wlad from times
    before Brewster era.

I would go even further. Wlad could win the fight against Lewis, he's faster and I think that he punches harder....

i agree with you here, i think Lewis would try and catch Wlad cold and he would most likely succeed.:good

It's not the case. Golota showed his nutjobness in this fight. Besides I believe these lidocaine rumors. Wlad of today is mature and about in his physicall prime still. This Wlad has a chance. Though I'd still favoured Lewis like 55:45.

I do rate Lewis very highly and favor him slightly against Wlad, but this idea that Wlad is just cannon fodder is pretty lame. Wlad absolutely trashed Mercer, granted Mercer was 41, but he didn't lose that much by aging, Wlad would have done the same thing to the version of Mercer that gave Lewis a tough fight. 10 - 15 years ago, Lewis was criticized as much as Wlad is today. Wlad on his worst nights can lose to B -level fighters, just as Lewis did against Rahman or McCall. On their best nights, both are very tough to beat. I think that Lewis is the slightly better natural athlete, but against a 6'6 fighter with Wlad's jab and range control, a quick knockout like against Golota is highly unlikely. When people bring up the semi - retired golfer who blew Wlad out of the ring, they forget how much of an advantage Sanders had by being a semi - retired golfer: Wlad didn't take him seriously at all, expected an easy night and was totally unprepared. No world beater would be taken lightly by Wlad, just as Lewis wouldn't underestimate Wlad like he underestimated Rahman.

Lewis often rushed super-heavies who he felt somewhat threatened by, or would threaten if they were allowed to settle into their routine, see Golota, Grant etc. Wlad I feel would be very much the same type of fight. If he gets into a technical, boxing contest with Wlad, he'll give himself a sustained nights work, so I think he would use his combination of presence, power and strength to rush Wlad and put on his arse inside 2 rounds.

Wlad in his fights against Mercer or Chagaev against Lewis in South Africa against Rahman....no, can't happen? Rahman was so much better than Wlad?
