Except Wlad is two classes above Golota and Grant. I take Lewis as a 60 : 40 favorite, but it would be tough assignment.
Lewis would shatter Wlad's glass chin with-in 3 rounds. Wlad is a good heavyweight, but he is too flawed mentally to ever become great. Physically, I actually think he's better than Lewis. Mentally, he's even close to the lion. Do you see Wlad being able to go punch for punch with a prime Vitali and not hitting the canvas a million times? I don't. Wlad had panic attacks against the likes of Brewster, Peter, and Sanders for christ sake. Lewis would find Wlad's weakness fast and end matters early imo.
I always saw the potential and appreciated Lewis from the start. Lewis was holding and hitting Grant, that was ****ed up, he hit on the breaks too. Regardless of mental issues, see how a prime Golota handles Grant in round 1. Lewis-Golota could have had the potential to be a "Bowe-Golota" or "Lewis-Vitali" type of fight. :deal When Lewis smell the blood, its ovahhhhhh. When Wlad smell the blood its......................another ****ing jab. Lewis by KO
Man it is so funny how some people equate the current Golota and Mercer to the way they were 10-15 years ago . . . IMO if these two guys were prime they could rule todays lame ass Heavies (outside the Kbros). This is just another dumb thread trying to raise the stature of the Kbros. A Prime Lewis would eat their children. These guys are very good fighters but some people have to comeback to reality and except the fact that these guys would only be contenders in any other era . . . Man I cannot believe I wasted 5 minutes writing anything about any of the current Heavyweight crap!
Man Lewis runs at him hard in the first, Wlad clams up and does the cha cha from a devastating right hand than grabs lewis. Upon grabbing lewis does his illegal tactics of pushing the guys head down and hits the fragile chinned Wlad with a brutal nearly life ending uppercut. Wlad sloops to the canvas. Checkmate.
Agreed. You got to look at it this way. Wlad's a water-downed version of Lewis. Manny taught him practically the same game plan as Lewis. Clinch after every right. Jab, jab, right, clinch. Lewis, unlike Wlad. Would mix it up with a beautiful uppercut. Wlad on the otherhand will turn the jab into a hook. I personally believe Wlad's physical abilities are right up there with Lewis', mentally it's not even close. Lewis wasn't afraid to bang it out with his oppenents, in which some were extremely powerful. Guys like Briggs, Bruno, Morrison, Mercer, Vitali etc... I never once seen Wlad go toe to toe with his oppenent without falling down several times or having freak panic attacks. Wlad vs Lewis physically? I got it even. Wlad vs Lewis mentally? The Lion destroys him, and it's not even close.
