Well I guess that would be none since every opponent Wlad fights sucks right after Wlad beats them according to the usual suspects here.
My thoughts exactly. Wlad can't handle pressure for the life of him. He will either have a panic attack or fall several times to the canvas. Lewis can go after him early like he did to Grant, Golota, and Ruddick. Though I would like to think Wlad is better than that, and could jab the lion in Lewis away in the first round. When you think about it, Wlad has been stung and couldn't recover before (Sanders), so I guess anythings possible. I have Lewis laying him out by the 3rd round.:good
Lewis was KO'd by Rahman & TKO'd by McCall Wladimir was TKO'd by Purrity, Sanders & Brewster. I maintain that Wladimir has not been KO'd only TKO'd.
Austin was an amazing fighter, and Wlad took him apart in 2 rounds. Ray was set to be a all time great before Wlad got ahold of him.
Is that all Ive got for what???atsch Lennox and Wlad have very very little in common actually other than they are big heavyweights. Lewis was a strategist, Wlad had no plan B, ever:deal Wlad is a good puncher, Lewis was a great one.:deal Lewis down twice his whole career, Wlad down about 865 times and counting. Your a fanboy, nothing more, nothing less. :hi:
Lewis would be a bad match up for Wlad. Big fighter, good inside outside, can brawl actually and has an... underrated chin. He's not rock solid, but he has proven he could take a punch on occassions. Close fight, maybe with Wlad maybe leading by a couple of rounds. But reaching the end of the fight, Wlad tires and Lewis comes inside and lands the bombs, KO-ing Wlad in the... 10-11th round. That being said, I don't think Lewis had very good stamina either, but... nah, his stamina was much better than Wlad's.
The difference being Shannon's a very fast fighter, and often times will come out of the gate swinging and fade as the fight goes on. I still think he holds the record for most 1st round KO's by a former or current heavyweight champ over the last 50 years. None the less, Wlad's usually a very slow starter who rarely knocks his oppenents out in under 6 rounds these days.
Wlad is also completely gunshy since Sanders, but has avoided firepower by fighting completely negatively, and using his physical advantages to be so. He has no physical advantages over Lewis, whos going to go right after him from the 1st bell. He couldnt jab away Lewis, as Lewis would get himself quickly close to impose his physical strength, and rough Wlad up. I think this ones over inside 6 mins:good
Lewis struggled early against Shannon Briggs & struggled the whole fight against Ray Mercer & that Mirovic guy with the mohawk. What other great moments has Mirovic had in the ring? You see I don't make a habit of only rating a fighter by their worst moments when comparing them to a different fighter's best moments.............it's helps you to form an unbiased opinion. Let me repeat: This fight would be a toss up.
Listen you Tyson nutsack swinging fruitcake, I don't care what your opinion is since you seem to think Wlad is merely a good puncher...............Golota was a good puncher with a good jab. Mercer was a good puncher with a good jab. Wlad is a great puncher with an ATG jab.
I give a lot of credit compared to his detractors, though I think his brother H2H is better, and trouble for most ATG's in history. I just look at Wlad's early ko record and consider that the two times Lewis was ko'd was two early picture perfect full weight impact punches that would have ko'd pretty much most HW's, save Holmes, Foreman etc. I'm not saying Wlads opponents suck, I'm just saying they don't stack up to Lewis's. I don't think you give Golota enough credit either, he'd just handed Bowe's ass to him on a plate x2, and Lewis destroyed him.
Mercer was still prime then. He gave Holyfield a tough fight not too long before that fight. Mirovic was a tough son of a ***** and undefeated at that time. I'm pretty sure he retired after that fight because of a disease that made his immune system weak and caused him to lose an excessive amount of weight. Look it up for further details, thats what I remember reading a few years back.
I will say this much for Wlad. He is an offensive powerhouse when he wants to open up and let his hands go. It's too bad his chin is too weak to do that anymore, after Sanders put the fear of god in him. I know I might get alot of slack for this, but I feel Wlad is every bit as powerful as Lewis. The only thing Lewis had better offensively was an uppercut, something Wlad never throws. Lewis mental toughness was miles ahead of Wlad though.
