I did a poll on Joshua vs prime wlad the poll everybody said prime wlad would win so I thought it made sense to do prime wlad vs fury and see who people thought would win

I think style makes fights in this particular match up.
Wlad can’t deal with taller people with longe reach because he is used to fight against shorter oponnents on rare occasion he fights someone his own height and reach
So fighting someone taller with more reach he needs to fight as the shorter men and thats too awkward an difficult for him.
And the fact that fury has good movement makes it even more difficult for him because of this movement he can’t Get his rhythem going every time he tries to make a move fury is disturbing him with his movement and makes him hesitant and at that moment he gets a hit by fury and before he can react fury is already moving already.

Wlad is a all time great and is very underrated in my opinion but fury is just all wrong for him

I do think fury is a bad matchup for him but a younger wlad could give fury problems also I think look a when fury was knocked down by Steve cummham I could see a prime wlad landing that punch I’ve always thought the fight was 50-50.

Fury beats any version of robot Wlad, all day every day.

    BIG STIFF IDIOT

He beat him in 2011 in a Sauna, He beat him in 2015 in a ring losing 1 round because he walked at Wlad wanting a KO in round 12. So what younger version of Wlad could tie Fury's shoelaces? none.

The defensively poor early 2000's Wlad?

The clinch fest hug midgets to death late 2000's Wlad?

When a 2 year pro Fury walks into your camp and Emmanual Steward claims he is mentally tougher than his reigning champion (Wlad) and Fury claims alpha status for himself taking you out in a sauna you know something is wrong. That being said when Fury takes GOAT status Wlad should finally be able to get over that loss.

Fury's stamina, size, skills, heart, toughness and sexiness are just way too much for any heavyweight of any era. He stands alone & we're only just getting started. Whyte and AJ will be crying for mercy after 4 rounds.

I get what your saying but fury wasn’t in his peak around that time his movement wasn’t that good around that time still showed great heart coming of the canvas and showed Some veteran moves it was dirty but thats something veterans do and it got him the ko victory but it’s not fair to compare prime wlad to that fury you should compare prime wlad vs prime fury and it would play out the same in my opinion and the scary thing is we probarly aint even seen the best fury yet atleast if he stays disciplined and keeps on evolving

"Prime Wladimir Klitschko" is a paradox.

He got knocked out by Ross Puritty, Corrie Sanders and Lamont Brewster. He then went on an unbeaten run beating a bunch of short or old mismatched opponents, in his desired arena on a spongy trampoline. People were saying he looked better than ever after he beat Kubrat Pulev. All of a sudden he fights Tyson Fury 18 months later and he's apparently shot to pieces and old. He then fights and loses to Anthony Joshua, coming off the back of a loss and 18 months inactivity and he's back to his best.

People will spin it whatever way suits their agenda.

Tyson Fury is superior. There's no way he loses to any of the names Wladimir Klitschko lost to and there's no way he doesn't beat all of the names he beat.

On top of that, he schooled him.

If you want a better discussion, put Tyson Fury up against Vitali Klitschko.

Steward himself said Fury would be the guy that ended Klitschko’s reign.

No way he loses to any of the names Wlad lost to, yet Big John pushed his **** all the way in.

    Prime Wlad would beat Fury.

Fury barely beat the old version who was struggling with an insane female back at home.

Fury never had the nuts to rematch a shopworn version of Wlad, and that says a lot to me. A rematch he'd agreed to on paper.

A better version of Klitschko would have been faster and less shy to pull the trigger.

Let's be fair then and confirm that prime Fury is about now, not back when he was mid 20s fighting Cunningham etc. The Wlad fight was Fury's first championship fight, it was hardly Fury in his prime there either. Whatever Wlad's non-age excuses were, Fury fought away in his first truly massive fight, and he also did a fat camp for that fight, admitting he lost too much muscle and could have been in a better place physically. That's Fury's fault but it's still important data when matching the two up in a prime v prime fantasy where both are properly fit.

The last performance? That's prime Fury more or less. THAT Fury would clearly be a massive threat to prime Wlad. The defence and movement is still there when needed, but offensively Fury would be more dangerous than the first fight. Wlad can always win by landing some bombs, can't rule him out. But current Fury would surely be capable of beating prime Wlad all things considered.

Some don't won't to admit the basic problem Wlad would always have, prime or not ... he explained to everyone he couldn't land his jab and set up his bomb because of Fury's length and movement. That's not going to change just because Wlad is younger, he still wants the safety of that approach and will likely revert to it if Fury starts countering missed shots. Wlad can usually handle shorter fighters fast or slow, skilled or not. He can usually handle tall fighters who are slow, skilled or not. But taller, faster with skills is something else!

    I kind of disagree.

Compare the Fury against Wilder to the Fury against Wlad.

Fury was much more powerful in the Wilder fight ... but he was also much slower. You can clearly see the speed difference.

Part of Wlad's problem with the version he fought was that he had trouble in getting his own jab off, and trouble in setting Fury up for his bombs. I have no doubt that if you switched the two versions around Wlad would have done much better against the Wilder version. Either version of Fury would beat Wilder imho.

Fury inexperienced at Championship level already beat Wlad on his home turf. Fury was slower , sloppier back then and didn't hit has hard as he does now. He pumps a stiffer and more authoritative jab. He was already physically stronger than Wlad when he was drained from fat camps.

Wilder who has hand speed was consistently beaten to the punch by Fury. He barely saw the right hand coming at him until it was too late.

Wlad tapering with the ring canvas underlines his insecurity when it comes to movers. Fury may have the best footwork ever for a SHW.
