prime years for robinson and joe louis

    I know the prime of a fighter might last a number of years but if you could narrow it down to one year for Ray Robinson, and one year for Joe Louis, what years would they be? Who did they just finish beating? Thanks in advance guys.

    For Joe Louis I'd say 1938,because of that performance in the Schmelling rematch. With Robinson,it's a little harder. At a push I'd say somewhere between 1946-50.
