theres no arguement pimpC, ohh i mean eze. -my bad, you guys are joyboys p4p 1 & 2, you can understand the mix up rite look, theres a difference between unofficial scales and actually seeing the fighters in the ring with your own eyes that can make a person go hmmm.. now age, weight and all that plays a factor but so does the undeniable fact that manny style would have caused any version of oscar fits. it wouldnt have been a oscar-gatti performance based on that simple fact. the arguement in mythical match ups can go either way. but if mannys performance wasnt so masterfull we wouldnt be having this discussion.
this is what the fight would ressemble the moment pac decides to brawl hes done, may be he last longer but his fate against a prime oscar is always the same
this could go either way. pac likes fighter who moves forward to him. and pac has the speed and power to trouble oscar like the way shane did it. oscar could very well win but it will not resemble a gatti fight. saying it will is just truly underating pac bigtime.
Having a good laugh at some of the predictions in this thread It'd probably be competitive for the first half of the fight, but Oscar would win this in his prime. He was ****ing awful in that Pac fight and as Roach said "Oscar can't pull the trigger any more" When he could pull the trigger he'd have given Pac fits in my opinion.
Mannys performance turned to **** the moment everyone saw the tale of the tape. OScar weighed less, looked drain and fought like a punching bag. He looked smaller than normal and thats a fact. Sure I discredit Pacs win over DLH big whoop. He KOed Hatton in 2. He gets full credit. He wouldn't come close to beating DLH in his prime at 147. Only a ******* would think so. Hatton landed cleanly on Pac quite a few times. Imagine Oscar in his prime.
Oscar of course.....Manny couldn't even sting him with all of those punches. Oscar definitely had lead in his boots !!!!! In prime....Manny would be belly up....just like Cotto will leave him !!!!
I think Roach knows the answer here. The main and ONLY reasons why Roach said from the very begining that Pac was going to beat Hoya were: 1- Hoya was old 2- Hoya couldn't pull the trigger anymore 3- The weight .... 147 lbs The points above were mentioned by Roach many times.... but most of us did not listen... He said that was the right time, in the same way when Hoya defeated JCC. I thought as the vast majority did here (more than 90% I believe) that even though Hoya was old and all that he had the experience and boxing skills to defeat Pac, but we were wrong..... we did not listen to what Roach said..... So, I think that if the opposite were true, which means Hoya being at his prime now (lets say the type of Hoya when he fought Trinidad or Mosley at 147) then I would say that Roach would never, and I mean never advice Pac to fight Hoya. Probably none of us would be talking about that right now.... So based on the above I pick Hoya by ud or stopagge.... It would be stupid not to listen Roach twice don't you guys think?
