As highly as I rate Floyd Mayweather Jr, Im very confident that a prime for prime fight between Julio Cesar Chavez & Floyd would result in Floyd losing, possibly even losing big.

Dont think for a minute that Floyd could do what Whitaker did..... JC wasnt in his prime in that fight at 147 lbs & Pea is better than Floyd in the vital areas needed to beat JC anyway.
Dont get me wrong, due to boxing styles, I dont think JCC could have did what Floyd did by winning titles up to 154 but this is peak v peak, the best of both guys.

I see Chavez cutting off the ring & just pounding away on PBF for 12 rds, nothing PBF could hit JCC with would stop him getting inside & blasting that liver to pieces with the odd pop to the head for good measure.

Along with Duran, I think this is the worst match-up possible for Mayweather & Id bet my house on a Chavez win, especially the LWT version, the 1 that beat Rosario would be too much for Floyd.
No doubt this will be split in the land of ESB but for me, Floyd has a horrible experience in this fight & struggles to get any kind of distance boxing or rythm going at all after 3 rds when Julio warms up & finds HIS rythm.

    JC CHAVEZ UD MAYWEATHER JR

Im very confident on the outcome of this fight at 130/135 (also Floyd`s prime IMO)

    :thumbsup

I respect your opinion though I think this is one I cant really predict. I know both guys are capable of winning.

Chavez didn't even fight Pernel in his prime. The defense that pea uses is NOTHING like the one Floyd uses. THis one is easy JCC UD, possible tko if floyd comes to fight. Chavez would counter floyds jabs with his right hand. IF you think Floyd has a good right hand watch a vintage Chavez lead right. the lead right that JLC used gave floyd trouble. Chavez would cut off the ring and force Floyd to fight even if its on the ropes. Chavez did everything with a purpose and never wasted energy, so he wouldnt fade like Oscar or jesus Chavez.

Chavez would win in my opinion. You can see a full analysis of this fight by myself in the "Chavez isn't a legend" thread. Me and Pimp C have a little debate as to that matchup.

Floyd smashes JCC ... he outboxes him and cruises to a UD victory or stops him on cuts.

But he couldn't do that to JCC's sparring partner in Castillo?

If i'm not mistaken this thread is about the mythical match up between PBF and JCC.

And let the record show that PBF has never came close to losing a pro fight and he beat Castillo twice.

Im not saying it would happen but did he not UD Castillo twice?

And does Castillo cut a lot like JCC did?
